AOD006 A2 - Matthias - The New Dominion

Finishing off the initial ‘series’ of Krab’s vinyl-only records in style, KRB003 centres around 3 signature cuts from German duo Cedric Dekowski & Felix Reifenberg and a stellar remix from Yamen & Eda. The EP divulges into the multi-genre capabilities and eclectic nature of the HardWorkSoftDrink label owners, as there seamless transition between genres, modular synths and all things in between is highlighted throughout the label’s latest record.

Starting off with a slow burner, Act 1 is a hypnotic listen, formed around strung out sounds, glitchy breakdowns and a captivating overlaying melody. Laus highlights the pair’s unique ability to shift genres seamlessly as they deliver a cut full of heavy hitting acid and emotion heavy synths suitable for any dance floor.

Internet dial up appears the theme throughout the B side, as Feelsliker delivers a fast paced minimal roller that is stacked to the brim with bleeps, bloops and modular madness. Finishing off the record is a remix from French Duo Yamen & Eda, a pair of artists that boast a distinguished taste for electronic music.  Dance floor ready, B2 is constructed around a heavy hitting bass line and an assembly of inimitable modular synths.

We are thrilled to welcome a new artist to the Metamorphic roster and it is none other than Italian producer Nicolo Loporchio recording under his Nico Lahs moniker!  The prolific Loporchio, hailing from  Bari, is one of the most accomplished Italian producers out there with previous releases on Ovum, Poker Flat and Rawax to name a few.  Following a five year hiatus during which he focused on his Cosmic Garden alias and started his own vinyl only label Cosmic Rhythm, he drops the Blow Your Mind EP on Metamorphic, 4 spaced out and atmospheric techno tracks that showcase his  skills in the studio and match perfectly with the ethos of the label.

To mark the 10th release on the Zeitnot imprint we've invited our very special friend Nick Gynn. For this milestone occasion Nick's prepared his longest play yet, 6 stellar tracks ranging through various flavours of deep and warped dance floor sounds.

On the A side AAA shows some love to the golden era of IDM with its B12-esque synth lines, and a growling grooving bass patch. Similarly weighty dance floor bomb Dynamic Traces has a mind-warping atmosphere, and a catchier hook than your favourite guilty pleasure.

Lose yourself in the gripping melancholy of Lourd, with more squelchy IDM-inflections, and practically dripping in nostalgia. Swap plates to the C side to hear expert examples of deep and driven electro Pheonix and Rokit, before gracefully coming to rest amongst the clouds in the arpeggiatted symphonies of A = 432 (Hz).

Coming in hot off the press for Picnic 002 is good friend of the party and Amsterdam resident Pelle. The Time Item label boss and close picnic affiliate delivers 2 classy cuts on the A side and a slick side project with studio partner Herra under their 'pH project' alias on the flip side. The EP glides through a mixture of breaks, electro and refurbished 90's tech house cultivating in an outburst of groove on the dance floor.
