Violet Sky were formed in Belfast and led by singer/songwriter and guitarist Mark Rossi, who's brother Phil played bass. They toured around Ireland, performing in Dublin and Cork and were on the bill of a major festival in the city above Hothouse Flowers on the bill. True Colours guitarist Nigel Charlesworth joined the band at this point and was in the line-up when they performed this song on RTE's version of The Tube.
