Welcome to the first Exclusive Series of 2022 and we are thrilled to bring you this extended set from Gaz Jones.  

Gaz found love for electronic music at an early age, but it would be 1999 before he had a chance to practise the art of DJing. While living in Glasgow, he kicked it all off playing Happy Hardcore and Trance primarily, but quickly moved to other genres, playing in various bars and clubs in the city. 

It was a move away from Scotlands capital to the UK’s clubbing capital of the north, Liverpool that saw Gaz’s skills behind the decks gain further popularity. Quickly finding his feet amongst the elite of the city’s DJ circle, 2008 saw him not just playing for but working for the likes of 909, Sonrisa, Help and hosting Cream’s Official Pre and After parties, as well as playing at various events and festivals in and around the area. 

2014 saw an increase in online activity in the dance music scene, which Gaz saw an opportunity to further showcase his now refined DJing talent. Hooking up with friends from around the world he helped to set up Saturo Sounds, an internet based underground dance music station. Saturo focused primarily on giving undiscovered DJs a platform for which they can be heard and to show their skills, while also featuring exclusive mixes from the likes of Danny Rampling, Ian Ossia and Blue Amazon. 

Today we can find Gaz mastering his art as a Resident for Manchester based Up Close & Personal, warming up dance-floors for the likes of JOOF, Dave Seaman, Marsh and Jody Wisternoff. The small clued up crowds at the intimate venues that UCAP utilise are always keen to lap up Gaz’s uniquely tailored sets for each of the superstar DJ’s after him.  

Never one to stick to a specific genre, Gaz can construct a set that eases between Disco, Funk, House and Progressive, a skill 20 years in the making.   For this months Exclusive Series session Gaz has carefully selected a mixture of deep house cuts, breaks, progressive floor fillers and as the mix progresses, harder tech-house tracks and arm raising anthems…. Farewell voices

Nigel was resident DJ at Renaissance UK from 1992-2008. He moved to Sydney, Australia in 2008 and dropped out of the music scene for 10 years. 
In 2018 he came back to his passion and started to enjoy the music again and got involved with doing mixes , including Balance. 
He concentrated his own monthly radio show hosted on Proton Radio called Spatial that  ended after 3 years.
