With the debut VA compilation of Basilica Blueprints laying the foundation for the label, Basilica now moves on to building higher and harder with the highly anticipated debut solo EP from UKBass heavy hitter, 9TRANE. 

9TRANE’s beginnings are a hard 140 instrumentalist featuring heavily previously on grime labels such as 1Forty have solidified hard hitting and gritty tonality to his sound. His progression into the 130 bass and techno scene then combined these elements with the groove and flow of techno and electro. 9TRANES percussion is a force to be reckoned with, slashing through the sonic walls of dark and dangerous basses and ethereal atmospherics.

The Slang EP builds a scene of intense suspense. Dark and ghostly halls of sound surround with distant swelling vocal cuts that build the wavering storm that is about to come crashing in. The storm then rolls in with an engulfing swell of deep and wobbling bass, sharp and crispy claps and percussion rolls through as the storm continues.
9TRANE’s releases have garnered the support of Jamz Supernova on BBC Radio 1Xtra, the mighty Loefah on Rinse FM and many many more, along with lining up alongside the likes of My Nu Leng, Opium Hum and Red Light.

The monthly hike with Virgil always concludes with a visit to 點心餅家 - Touch Of The Heart Bakery. A morning connecting with nature and reminiscing about Hong Kong always leads us to this legendary institution. Established in 1922, by a family of immigrants from Hong Kong. This place never fails to fascinate me on multiple fronts every single time I go. Whether it is the sizzling tray of egg tarts coming straight out of the oven, seeing the bakers zoned in, creating magic or its ability to transport me spiritually to Hong Kong. Something I don’t think I can comprehend myself.

So to celebrate 100 Years of Touch Of The Heart Bakery. We have curated this special project with some mega talented people. Hopefully this reflecting 4 Generations, dedication to the craft. The craft of literally touching hearts and creating smiles. Also was super to see Florence, a long time friend and next in line to take over at the bakery. Both being in the same year class at Chinese School decades ago, sharing a love for Marvin Gaye, Ryo Fukui and of course edits. She left me with some wonderful words by her late grandfather (Heard this from Jimmy Iovine too!) - “Give yourself time, to make something that will last forever. Egg Tart. A Timeless Art”

Los Angeles–based producer, DJ, and star diviner Maude Vôs reaches for the helio heavens in their third EP for Delusional Records, a deep exploration of “musical metaphysics,” where ancient celestial theories meet modern electronic alchemy.

Continuing the cosmic journey begun with 5th Generation Angel, Astral Intervals translates the harmony of the cosmos planetary ratios, gravitational pull, orbital motion into rhythm, scale, and BPM. 
The result: luminous, mind-expanding tracks suspended between science and mysticism, abstraction and groove.

"Magic Always Lateball" embodies this vision hypnotic progressions, radiant textures, and rhythmic gravity converging into a dancefloor awakening.

Also featuring a remix by Berlin-based producer and live coder Prieste5s, whose bass-heavy reinterpretation of Theta Fugue pushes the EP deeper into interstellar territory.
