MPH triumphantly returns to Night Bass with his colossal album, Refraction. This 15-track collection brilliantly blends UK Garage influences with 140, Jungle, Deep House and Bass House - a testament to MPH's raw talent. Following the success of two previously released singles, “Funk Master” and “Endorphins,” Refraction takes listeners on a captivating journey from start to finish. 

The UK-based rising star explains how, “Throughout you’ll see a variety of environments which I’ve captured on my phone and carefully picked to match with the energy of each track. For some of the more gritty bass tracks it’s quite dark and urban, meanwhile the softer UKG side of the album ties to rural landscapes/sunsets.”

If there's one thing MPH has mastered, it's the art of storytelling through his music. The opening track sets the stage, kicking the album off with an atmospheric build straight from a bass jungle. Each subsequent track builds on this energy, showcasing MPH's mastery of crafting infectious melodies and basslines. 

Two guest artists add their own unique spin to their respective tracks. Tottenham-based MC Subten unleashes his flow on track “North LDN,” while the powerhouse collaboration with label boss AC Slater on track “Lights On,” promises to drop some jaws. MPH continues to exceed expectations, and Refraction is guaranteed to leave listeners wanting more with every listen.

Created by two best friends from opposite sides of the country, There For You tugs at your heartstrings with emotional melodies and euphoric electronic production, while also being impossible to not dance to - a track that will have the dancefloor busting moves with floods of tears running down their faces. The track was created one night over a takeaway pizza and a bottle of rum, and was premiered the next night at XOYO in London. In a pre-release interview with Drinks On Me, he claims it is 'probably his favourite track he's ever made', a track that was 'born from two friends messing around with music and unintentionally creating something special'. It has since gone on to be a staple in both of the artists' live sets.

In a collaboration we’ve all been eagerly anticipating, the iconic MPH and AC Slater join forces on Night Bass for their new single, Lights On. This epic track masterfully captures the signature bass sound from both UK & LA legends, enhanced by the vocals of London-based artist Eloise Keeble. Lights On has been lighting up dance floors for a while now and we’re sure it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
