Olga Korol's exploration of sound began in Odessa in the early 2000s, where she developed an innate curiosity for musical patterns. Through local grunge and trip-hop scenes, she eventually found her way to electronic music and immersed herself in records, playing at major venues in Ukraine, including the renowned (but now sadly defunct) Kazantip festival.

Best known for her work at the Body Parts label, the platform has showcased music from an astutely chosen range of guests over the years. Now based in Berlin (where she’s been residing for the past eight years), Olga is renowned both for her eclectic and a DJ as well as her ability to pick the right tune at the right time. Never afraid to challenge her audience, she’s a most welcome guest for our Ukraine Series mix, and her mix rounds off the series with serious aplomb. Giuliano Lomonte hails from Andria, a town located in the southern part of Italy, but his love for music has taken him far beyond the Mediterranean. A passionate clubber who has traversed Europe, he developed a fondness for electronic music, particularly deep, tech, hypnotic, and extended cuts that are pressed onto vinyl. This is the kind of sound that he pursues as a DJ.  Based in Berlin since 12 years now - where he’s really come of age as a DJ and producer - he’s played at virtually all the city’s greatest clubs, from Hoppetosse to Club der Visionaere to Watergate and many others.

First arriving on our radar thanks to his classic track, La Musique (released via his own label point of view), we’ve since discovered a whole host of Lomonte gems. Indeed, you can experience his musical vision in its purest form through his releases on various labels, including Sammy Dee's Ultrastretch, his own aforementioned label, Point of View, and Arno’s always-excellent Pressure Traxx.

We’re really hyped to have Giuliano deliver a mix for our live mix series, which you can listen to here. A recording from a recent gig at Red Dot V in Cluj in Romania, it displays Lomonte at his very best. You can also head over to www.nightclubber.ro to read the interview.

Demi Riquísimo and his Semi Delicious imprint return for their 15th edition with another versatile, club ready collection of cuts from old & new members of the label family set for a release on the 7th July.

The EP features contributions from regulars Lulah Francs, Jive Talk & label owner Demi alongside debuts from NairLess, Last Magpie, Corbi and Michelle Manetti. 

The A-side kicks off with ‘All I Need’, a collaborative track from Demi & Michelle Manetti. A bouncing, progressive house number with some old school Italian flavour that sets the tone nicely for the EP. Corbi’s ‘Kraken’ is up next providing some driving, analog acid squelch to SEMID015. ‘Don't Make Me Wait’ by Lulah Francs & Nebari wraps up the Ice Cream side. Proto house style drum programming and bass are juxtaposed nicely to the psychedelic synth work and impeccable vocals from Lulah creating a unique and versatile track to close out the A-side. 
The B-side opens with NairLess’ ‘Swell’, a tripped out slice of balearic trance. The EP takes a slightly more heads down turn on ‘Release It’ by Last Magpie. A menacing track driven by a sharp synth line that you’re sure to hear over festival season. Jive Talk’s ‘Wizard’s Slippers’ wraps up the EP in their imitable style. Off kilter drums, unique bass and minimalism with the perfect amount of elements to pique the listener’s interest bringing SEMID015 to a close in style.

“Nominal Attraction” delves into the magnetic forces of music, where objects are drawn to each other within the same genre nominally, skilfully ensuring that each piece maintains a distinct identity, providing a set of unique spaces for each track.
