Our next contributor, Eli Verveine (@eli-verveine), has been DJing for over 20 years, first establishing herself at local Zurich venues like Dachkantine and later on international stages.

Verveine’s DJing is patient, and it rewards that same patience in the listener. In this Q&A we dive into this concept and how it applies more generally to learning the art of DJing over time. Anecdotes from parties over the years – including an earlier epic set at Renate – help illustrate how Verveine has navigated the dilemmas of expressing creativity from the DJ booth.

The accompanying mix is a live recording of a recent gig in Gothenburg, and after a measured opening you can soon hear the crowd roar their appreciation during the breaks in Lil Louis’s ‘Blackout’ – patience, as ever, bringing its just rewards.

Colin de la Plante, better known by his stage name The Mole, is an electronic music artist who has consistently delivered multifaceted gems since his emergence in 2005. Unlike many in the music industry, his work does not cater to trends and fads, but instead is guided by his own, often esoteric style. His patient and deep tracks immerse listeners in weird and wonderful places, bridging house, ambient, and everything in between - as is befitting of a man who's released music for the likes of Ostgut Ton, Perlon, Kompakt, Wagon Repair, Circus Company and more.

While The Mole has always surprised his fans with his work, his latest LP, "The River Widens," feels like a significant departure, with a series of tracks that rarely topple the four minute mark. Now back in his native Canada after a lengthy stay in Berlin, we certainly caught the man at an interesting - and reflective - juncture in his career. Hiatus over, Pluie/Noir podcasts are back, this time with a name little name change, in anticipation of a new collaboration with the @ringsofneptune agency managed by both @soundslikenies and @cleymoore. This podcast has been ready for more than a year, but due to the uncertainty of the future of this project, it was put on hiatus for a while. 

At last, we're delighted to welcome Clovis to the series. Clovis's music selection is remarkably timeless and perfect for the last moments of Winter (in the Northern Hemisphere, mind us). An interview is up on Rings of Neptune's official page. Enjoy!
