Mix for @returntothedance as part of Joe Melhuish's new series of artworks 💕 

'Surati embraces her Persian heritage in her name; meaning pink, and her euphoric mix could easily be a love letter to the hot weather and warm, vibrant colours it draws from. Undoubtedly a runner for the feel-good mix of the summer, we bounce between hazy vocal house, chunky garage cuts and irreverent, deranged pop remixes synonymous with PC Music and the Nightcore scene, to which Surati has been a long-time contributor; having made a name for herself with a string of nightcore edits, mashups and playing parties for Bangface, UMRU and GFOTY.

‘This mix was inspired by the feeling I’m missing, of rushing to the dance floor to catch a song I’ve been waiting for or one that takes me by surprise. As a DJ that’s the feeling my sets are all about - to let people just go for it and not take themselves too seriously - whatever the genre!'

Super excited to share this mix! Debuted at Midsummer on the 3/08/2024, I made this mix with the intention of trying to experiment with my own personal sounds. Creating bass heavy Baile Funk moments and slowly layering on high BPM, ethereal cringe core tracks to create a mix that I think encapsulates the veil, between Baile Funk and Hard Dance.
