The second artist to release a mix in the Into The Valley X Discobelle collaboration is not only a DJ, but has also figured in both Swedish and English radio with mixes and hosting shows. @linny-hex has been in the game for a couple of years now and has gone from playing at recognised underground clubs to some of Sweden's biggest arenas and festivals, and done guest appearances in London, Copenhagen, the US and Asia. 

This mix is inspired by Linnys 2015, her best year as a DJ so far since starting in 2008. It’s mostly new released techno with fast drums and grovvy percs, and in Linny’s own words: ”it’s perfect for dancing out in the open while the sun is rising"

This is a live recorded 5 hour long B2B session with Amevon from Slakthuset 7/8-2015. It builds from regular techno to more intense, dark, hard and banging techno. Big thanks to all ppl that went berzerk on the dancefloor - the vibe was really amazing!! <3

Berliner producer and DJ Zusan returns to Kuukou with two thumping numbers that will precipitate the dancefloor, along with label trouper Thomas Lizzara on the remix mission.
Hail opens the EP with a dose of high energy, featuring spellbinding hammering percussion layered atop a dynamic melody. Accented with metallic synth slivers, a massive breakdown completes the scene, leaving a refreshing space for sonic developments.
Thomas Lizzara’s take on the title track brings together the same penchant for hefty percussive sequences, laced with acidical synths and ominous pads.
Centered around an arpeggiated hook, Drizzle brings forth moody atmospherics in a playful and spacious slice of introspective, celestial techno.

Possessed with whimsical enchantment, the track is curious in depth. A strong kick provides a platform for a progressive yet melodic journey with strong percussive undertones. In what feels like an intergalactic sonic sphere, enters a grimy bass line combines with a slick top line melody. From this base the track evolves as elements enter and escape, creating a perfect combination of intensity and release.

PARIS 'Pursuit' [Of Leisure]

Renowned German DJ and producer ​Boris Brejcha has unveiled his hotly anticipated new album ​Space Diver,​ out​ 24th January​ via ​Ultra Music​.
SpaceDiveri​sanemotionally-charged,ten-trackjourney,with​Brejchamasterfully guiding the listener through an array of terrain. No fewer than three tracks from the LP have already been released as singles: there’s the hypnotic, recently released

‘Lieblingsmensch’​, trance-inflicted ​‘Never Look Back’ and melodic techno roller ‘Gravity’​, which features the vocals of Berlin-based singer-songwriter ​Laura Korinth​. Things are then closed out with ​‘To The Moon And Back’​, an expertly-crafted slice of what Brejcha refers to as ​‘High-Tech Minimal’​, with the album finding that sweet spot between energetic club cuts and relaxed home listening.
Having completed a North American tour and played at a slew of Ibiza parties across 2019, ​Brejcha shows no signs of taking his foot off the gas in 2020, with festival slots at ​OFFSonar​, ​Exit Festival​ and ​Docklands​ all lined up for the next few months.
Emerging onto the scene with the double EP release of ​‘Monster’ and ​‘Yellow Kitchen’ back in 2006, ​Brejcha has spent the years since developing his own style of music, coined as ​‘High-Tech Minimal’​. In 2018 he dropped a track on the ​Best Of Cloning Sound ​compilation to mark the tenth anniversary of the imprint.

Marking his second release following January’s ​Space Diver LP, ​Thunderstorm sees the German artist incorporate dark techno tones, striking build ups, and progressive elements for a transcendent listening experience. Boris pulls in his audience and serves a combination of high-octane soundscapes, intensity, ambient turns, melodic variations and driving basslines. The EP creates a high intensity universe to dive into and not to miss the punchy title track ‘Thunderstorm’.

Often in life, the best ideas are the ones we don’t spend too much time labouring over. When the timing and ingredients are right, the results tend to look after themselves. This was definitely the case with Order, the latest EP on Second State and first collaboration between two rather unusual suspects: Brazilian producer and DJ K.A.L.I.L. and New Zealand producer, DJ and promoter Cam Harris.

Harris is an established mover and shaker in the New Zealand party scene and founder of leading events such as Sonorous Festival and La Terrazza. Through his work as a promoter he befriended the legendary D-Nox, and it was while living in Sao Paolo for a few months that D-Nox suggested Harris get in touch with local producer K.A.L.I.L. for some recording sessions. It was a successful match. 

'Order' is big-room techno with a festive fire in its belly. An insistent synth pattern evokes a tribal celebration while a tail-end drone revs like an engine, sure to corral a crowd into a fervor. 'Disorder', as its name suggests, is a slipperier track loaded with motoring synths and a seductive sense of tension that never relaxes its grip. K.A.L.I.L. lends his distorted vocals to this one, uttering the titular word on repeat in a message that is part invitation, part incantation. Berlin-based Second State favorite Rocko Garoni puts his own stamp on the 'Order' remix, a warped, echoing version of events purpose-built for the early hours of the morning after. 

Supported by the remix of a Second State mainstay, this collab EP strongly announces an intercontinental pairing with a promising future: K.A.L.I.L. and Cam Harris!

When Deep Dish played Pacha Ibiza in 2018, it was one of the group's biggest reunion shows to date celebrating the 20th anniversary of their first show at Pacha, Ibiza. DJing to thousands at the legendary white isle club, the duo played an expertly crafted mix of tried-and-true classics, cutting-edge records, and unreleased material from both members. 

'Isolate,' leans much more towards dark, driving, and hypnotic techno. Sharam decided to tweak and finish the track as a result of the extended quarantine, and is his first isolation-inspired track (hence the name). Isolate's syncopated stabs build and stack on each other in a multitude of layers, coalescing into a complex, distorted, and infectious groove. The track wouldn't sound out of place on Sharam's 2017 techno album Collecti.

As Sharam's first solo effort of the new decade, it doesn't start on much of a higher point. The tracks demonstrate the veteran's ability to craft diverse and thought-provoking tracks that draw just enough on current trends to sound relevant but not enough to sound stagnant.

NIGHT LIGHT RECORDS is the powerhouse behind a mounting stack of tracks birthed from the warped minds that exist on techno’s murkier outskirts.

NIGHT LIGHT RECORDS has been clocking up plaudits for its roster of releases featuring the cream of the techno heartland’s throb-meisters.

NIGHT LIGHT is the brainchild of pioneering Bosnian DJ duo Sinisa Tamamovic and Mladen Tomic. As principles in the techno/minimal field, their reputation was established by a clutch of darker hued tracks and well-received remixes on genre leading labels. NIGHT LIGHT has continued in that throbbing vein, releasing to rapidly growing success.

Extending their appeal still further, off-shoot label NIGHT LIGHT SLOW EDITION presents a more easily-digestible side of techno, minimal and tech house that is set to worry the mainstream while retaining a trademark edginess to their sound that steers it left of centre.
