‘Eastwood’ is the 25th launch of Playground Records, which arrives from Russia through the Wolfstream duo who gives us 4 originals plus two remixes, one by La Mverte and the other by Balam.
‘Horses’ - a summer breeze that comes from the sands of a distant desert and comes to sneak down your balcony. The snake dance begins and the window fabrics fly inflated. Drums, percussions, guitars and synthesizers make a mantra of dreams that surround us and lead us bareback on wild horses for a crusade of lysergic steppes to remote destinations.

Imagine a compilation featuring tracks by Two Mamarrachos, Azaria (SXDNS076), Daniel Monaco (SXDNS137) & Futuristant, Lebollet (RASTROLIVE004), Colossio (SXDNS025), Alvaro Cabana (RASTROLIVE003) & Silicodisco, Alvee & Javier Martínez (SXDNS104), Telesketch, JackWasFaster, Zakmina and other great artists… it would be a dream, wouldn’t it? Giant Madrid-based label Rotten City made this dream come true. Their next release amassed 17 beautiful themes by a consequential team of producers that spared no efforts to deliver one of the best releases of the year so far.

The title we were given to premiere, “Novel”, brings Zakmina at his best. The acclaimed Lithuanian artist proves one more time why he is one of the most respected producers of his generation amid the Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene. For his contribution to “Rotten Citizens Vol.4”, Zak dressed up some retro outfit and aligned energetic arpeggiated synth layers resulting in one of the lustiest tunes of the compilation. Label boss Alvaro Cabana must have been incredibly happy with the result. And he is not the only one.

Christos Aggelopoulos aka Mr Stinson is an established dj, club promoter & radio producer in his hometown Athens (Greece), with a career in the music industry spanning 20 years. After a couple of remixes for local heroes The Steams & Last Chance, Mr Stinson's first release on the greek imprint Klik Records pays tribute to the prolific actor, politician & activist Melina Mercouri. A solid, italo-inspired rhythm section & multiple layers of synths create an ideal platform for Mercouri's voice to shine while giving a passionate speech about democracy & her status as a woman back in the late 70s
