olas Jaar has graduated-- at least from the trappings of any young electronic music producer (his graduation from Brown University is 18 months away). Four years after his debut on the Brooklyn label Wolf + Lamb, and the much lauded follow up 'Time for Us', whose glacial slow-jam take on house sent journalists scrambling for adjectives, the 20 year old New Yorker by way of Chile returns to Circus Company with Space is Only Noise, an uncompromising manifesto on traces of the past, love lost, and specters of the future. 

Having previously contributed to the catalog twice with his 'Marks and Angels' EP as well as the sublime 'Your Waltz' on the Snuggle and Slap compilation, we are delighted to present his first foray into the realm of the long player. 

Jaar has made it quite apparent over the course of his nascent catalog and increasingly sought after live sets that challenge is an intrinsic part of his creative discourse. Few are the producers of any age with the cohones to ride a sub-100-bpm tempo at peak time in the techno Mecca of Berlin, and fewer still are those who receive an ecstatic hands-in-the-air response for their precocious efforts. It is precisely this sense of risk which elevates Space is Only Noise beyond the realm of valiant first effort or crossover dance music oddity. Those looking to wade through the sea of Jaar’s potential influences will quickly find themselves in the deep waters of golden age Factory records, home spun digitalism of Mille Plateaux, Endtroducing era DJ Shadow and Eric Satie.

Jaar gently coaxes his listener into the experience from the opening sounds of rolling waves on 'Être', but quickly transitions into the sophisticated percussion and meandering melodies that characterise his sound. Jaar seeks, and often finds, beauty in melancholy on the first few tracks of the album. As the album begins to accelerate with 'Too Many Kids Finding Rain In The Dust', Jaar confronts us with the often forgotten reality that our sadness is not mutually exclusive from the dance floor.

Suddenly, on 'Keep Me There', Jaar’s voice appears over the delicious, rumbling melody. "We're in a really bad bed, right?" he remarks. "Mm-- it's not really a bed. It's like a balloon" responds a sultry female voice as they both crumble away in laughter. Though your hips stir to the relentless bassline and the sexiness of the voices, your heart is jolted out of its luxurious malaise when horns erupts seconds later. 

"How can you talk about a landscape without showing the sky and the earth?" a voice asks, translating from the French on 'Être'. So Jaar concludes, revisiting the same track to end the album. Complete landscapes such as these are only realised in contrast- the indulgent against the reserved, the sky against the earth; lightness and darkness. 

Space Is Only Noise is a tour de force with few modern equals, and a great sign of things to come from one of electronic music’s most exciting producers.

Underground Audio welcomes the release of “Propulsive Rhythm EP” from Manchester’s own, Cassell. This three track EP features a chunky grooving selection, packed with bass-flavoured energy. 

‘Groover’ presents a blend of ground-shaking bass patterns, laced together with a powerful kick. This rock solid foundation is complimented by a rolling melody that is perfect to get the people grooving prior to peak-time sets.

Acid inspired ‘Detroit’ continues in similar fashion, engrossing heavy bass licks and driven melodies to keep the energy flowing throughout the night. 

The EP is complimented with a tech-house remix by Underground Audio’s very own Kreature. This stomping remix adds vibrant synths and a wonderfully crafted percussion selection, while still commending the acid influence of the original.

Kasper Bjørke’s upcoming mini-LP ‘Fountain of Youth’ (Out June 10th) bends genres such as classic house, electro, post disco and techno, into his own melting pot of late night jams - created entirely for the dancefloors. It ́s Kaspers joyous return to clubland, after focusing his previous album productions on song oriented compositions, suitable for home listening rather than the clubs. We can ́t  wait to share it with you!

Before that, ‘Cloud 9’, leading single from ‘Fountain of Youth’ is released on May 20th - and arriving with a remix package, as always handpicked by Kasper himself.

‘Cloud 9’ comes in two original versions: An instrumental version, that with its dreamy analoge OB-8 pads, haunting melancholic bell theme and 808 breakbeats surely will take you back in time. The vocal mix features Urdur from Icelandic band GusGus. Urdur delivers a infectious hookline, with a clear reference to the 90s vocal house scene.

Weval, soon to release their debut album on Kompakt, provides a stunning and brilliantly different take on the original, refocusing the vibe into a shuffling, lo-fi jam, complete with their signature sampled, pitched vocal bits.

The Dub, available via Juno only, allows yet more space to the smudged, warm groove.

The Italian duo Marvin & Guy, known for their jams on John Talabots Hivern Discs and most recently on Correspondant Records, brings a beefy, chugging Italo vibe to their main version with a classic arpeggio synth anthem. Marvin & Guy’s Dub Remix is pushing the simmering melodies into a dreamy climax - and is a sure shot for the open air sunset slots this summer.

Luego de tocar en algunos de los festivales más respetados de la región con algunos de sus anteriores proyectos. Felipe se ha dedico durante los últimos años a viajar por el tiempo, reconstruyendo universos sonoros y produciendo tracks alrededor de la música electrónica.

There is no doubt Felipe Gordon is one of the most prolific producers of the Colombian capital. After playing in some major festivales in the region with his side projects, Felipe has dedicated his latest years to travel through time, to rebuild resonant universes and producing tracks around electronic music.

After El Caracas Ep which was released by Nein Records, and Mosaico Andino from Forbidden Cuts label. Gordon chooses to release through Nomada Records: Sample Colossus, an album which build itself in a meticolous manner with elements from Jazz, Funk and a variety of african sounds, transforming it in fresh and hazardous tracks, also holding 2 international remixers; Monomite from France and Hotmood from México.

A strong contender for dance record of the year, Red Rack’em’s gloriously wonky disco banger was re-released on Classic earlier in 2016. It’s that track that anyone who’s anyone has been bugging us for. After a few months embedding itself into people’s psyches, it returns with two huge new mixes.

First up is the marvellously talented KiNK who is no stranger to Classic, having made a stamp on the label many years ago with his remix of 3rd Face’s ‘Canto Della Liberta’. KiNK has since gone from strength to strength with his productions, accompanied by his extraordinary live performance. He goes in head first with this remix, using some proper techno Wonk and a bass that will make your heart flutter. It is indeed a beast.
 
On the flip, Luke Solomon joins forces with Bristol’s very own Eats Everything and Lord Leopard, a veritable Bristol “Circle of Three”. The Leopard Eats Luke Edit adds an ounce of conformity to the drums and arrangement, without removing too much of the Wonk, taking it ever so slightly into house territory.
 
Overall this is a monstrously Wonky package.

Providing a taste of what’s to come from the upcoming album Glitterbox – Love Is The Message, this sampler serves up the very best dancefloor-filling beats, balancing classic with contemporary across five glittering tracks. 

Up first is a sublime remix of Soul Rebels ‘I’ll Be Good’. Soul Rebels covered the Rene & Angela electro-funk classic back in 2005, and this brand new remix is the first of two EP exclusives from the current king of disco re-edits, Dr Packer. Already a familiar name on the Glitterbox Recordings imprint, Dr Packer specialises in creating glorious upbeat re-works of much-loved favourites. Next up is his brand new remix of King Unique’s anthem ‘Love Is What You Need (Look Ahead)’. Another instant classic, it employs a warm, relaxed beat to give that unforgettable vocal more of a disco vibe.

The third exclusive on the EP, Luke Solomon & Terry Grant’s ‘Disco Revision’ of the seminal ‘Wonky Bassline Disco Banger’ reimagines the charmingly bonkers track, smoothing over some of the wonkiest bits but maintaining the disco fever by amping up the shuddering strings. 

Holding down the “classic” end of proceedings is Kings Of Tomorrow with ‘Tear It Up’, featuring the heavenly voice of Julie McKnight. Glitterbox is all about those euphoric ‘hands-the-air’ moments, which this track has endlessly. Rounding off this outstanding EP with an irresistible groove, Mike Dunn’s re-work of Gershon Jackson’s ‘Love Desire’ is a certified dancefloor pleaser. If you can’t get enough, there’s plenty more where that came from on Love Is The Message.

Estonian pioneer Ajukaja, real name Raul Saaramet, delivers a collection of moody beat experiments on his 'Mhmhmh' EP via 
Red Rack'em's Bergerac imprint, which includes the disco-tinged house cut 'Ekleeer'.

Ajukaja's been steadily guiding his home country's sonic awareness as the program co-director for Estonia’s national radio station Raadio  2, yet he's also produced some of the finest underground dance records over the last few years including ‘Stranger’, ‘Benga Benga’ and 'Rare Birds’. Now making his debut on Bergerac, Ajukaja's showcasing more of his unique approach to music production. 

The 'Mhmhmh' EP is set for release November 16.
