January is a routinely terrible time of year, so we decided to hold off putting out our first Forecast of the new decade until now, so as to not sully the music in this excellent mix by our pal Adam Oko with the onerous vibes of that greyest of months. It pretty perfectly showcases the reason why Adam's numerous online mixes or NTS shows are some of the most interesting listens out there and we're really thankful to him for letting us share this sublimely styled hour.

Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge is the musical vehicle of Niklas Wandt and Joshua Gottmanns. They released a single – Ich verliebe mich nie – in 2018 and an EP entitled Leben in 2019 on the Düsseldorf label Themes For Great Cities. Now the time has come for the Berlin duo's long-awaited debut album. The 7 tracks comprising Der große Preis distil the inimitable NB sound which blends velvety synth-pop and crystalline digi-dub, basslines like cubes of glass and whiplash snares.
