Between light and darkness, Shadows and Lights explores the tension between desire and detachment, movement and stillness. Inspired by the sound of the 80s, Betty (FR) sculpts analog landscapes where emotions drift in slow motion, shaped by the warmth of a Jupiter and the ethereal harmonies of an Emulator. The EP features three tracks — three variations on melancholy, rhythm, and memory.
The final track on this EP strips away the vocals, revealing the structure underneath — a hypnotic instrumental version where synths and guitar intertwine like fragments of a forgotten soundtrack.
Out now on Bandcamp and all digital platforms.

This one is in French, my native tongue ! I made that one about a year ago I think. It was first when I started to write songs in French. It's okay for the time. Biography
Empirical as a hard sip spilling from a discharged battery. There is always a nihilistic fetish in these youngsters dealing with technology. Stefano Martino, aka R A S H, is never hiding this darkest side in his composition. His machinery becomes a ritual object within which his human state becomes an algorithmic begging of change making its appearance at warm 50 hertz complacency.

His sound exploration is elaborated through decadent, post-industrial soundscapes inscribing the full failure of a consumer society which noise becomes an evidence whilst its awareness is modelled, reworked within a dystopian hexavalent chromium taste, blended into the future. Betty delivers club-oriented dance mixes tinged with indie dance and dark disco, while adding some new wave. Her inspiration comes from bands such as Depeche Mode and The Cure, which she particularly likes.
Betty is a night owl… She started to work in the night life at the end of the 80's in the trendiest clubs and bars of Lyon such as La Centrale, Haute-Tension, Le Fridge, as a barmaid or party organizer, then at L'Exit, a famous techno bar she managed, but also for the mythical parties I love Boys, Enjoy and Wake Up. 
In 1995, she moved behind the decks and learnt to mix on vinyl alone in her bar every night after closing. 
Now, even if she has left the night life, she’s so passionate about music she decided to move towards production. She’s in fact the half of the duo @nouveaufutur who released some tracks on Mélopée Records, Crave Tapes Records and Espacio Cielo. 
Alongside, Betty has developed a parallel solo path, allowing her to deepen her approach to music production and composition and to explore a more personal sound.
Now fully independent in her solo work, she has launched her own label @girlsofthenightrecords. As both a DJ and producer, she continues to craft a sound rooted in analog textures, 80s-inspired atmospheres and club-driven energy, bridging nostalgia and modern dance culture.
Finally, her first solo EP « Shadows and Lights » is released on December 5, 2025.
