Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre's leading labels, including institutions such as Soma, Cocoon & Drumcode, his own BEK Audio imprint and - most recently - Patrick Topping’s Trick label. 


With a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and two Boiler Room sessions under his belt, as well as featured music on BBC 1 Drama ‘Stonemouth' and numerous collaborations with artists like MR. G, GreenVelvet, Debra Debs, Mark Broom and Speedy J, Gary has been an undeniably formidable force since hitting the scene in 2007.


His seminal 2012 debut album 'Bring a Friend', was championed by the legendary Soma Records label, marking their 100th release. The years that followed left a kaleidoscopic trail of releases spanning a multitude of studio skills, influences, styles and aliases including the house driven grooves of Tanera; to the relentlessly harder sounds of Sosak. Gary’s second full length album under his own name 'Dal Riata' dropped in November 2019, followed by a series of incredible releases including this year’s Submarine and Supervan EPs - with even more to come. 


Gary’s renowned for his incendiary live sets, destroying dancefloors across the globe including Tokyo’s Womb, Fabric London, Awakenings, T in the Park, Spazio in Rome, Output NYC, Printworks, and Timewarp, to name a few. On top of a formidable touring schedule, Beck heads up BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels on the scene. Now approaching its 52nd release, the label boasts an impressive roster of artists including Floorplan, Mark Broom, Slam, DJ Rush & Ritzi Lee.

Ever since the pair's formation in the early 1900's their unerring ability to fuse raucous techno with their life long love of Hip Hop, has set them aside from there peers. In the present day, an abundance of UK techno producer's have emerged, none would deny The Space Djz are true innovators. In 1995 the duo released their debut Ep Space DJz on the legendary and now defunked Infonet imprint, quickly followed up by an outing on the Belgium label Reload These two projects put them on the techno map but the real turning point arrived in early 1996 on Infonet with the release of the ..Return to earth', Ep, containing the techno anthems ..Side on', and ..Rock the house'.Both trakz would blow up to be huge and be re-released via Frankfurt based Ongaku .The combined output of both releases was over 10,000 copies and along side Dave Clarks Red 1 these were two of the biggest tunez of the year and are still much sought after and played to this day. The Djz became prize catches for major playerz Nova Mute and Soma contributing several more classic releases, culminating in 1999's critically acclaimed album ..On Patrol`. The album expressed Ben and Jamie's roots perfectly, combining their now infamous hip hop influences with their unique brand of analog techno and chaotic electronic soundscapes.

Later that year The Space Djz delivered a trak that was to become one of their biggest hitz to date AK 47 a trak that had originally been heard on a Nova Mute Compilaton was reworked and served to capture the period's riotus spirit of techno. Listening to that record, one would imagine was like being attacked with a chainsaw buy an electronic chicken, simply brutal. It was released as a double pack on Ben Long's highly regarded Potential Recordingz and featured remixes by many of techno's biggest namez including Umek, The Advent, Gaetano Parisio, Oliver Ho, Inigo Kennedy, Chris McCormack.

During 2001 Ben and Jamie also able to concentrate on their solo projects working with labels such as Consumer Recreation, CLR, Primate, PrimeEvil, Tortured, Advanced, Eukatech, Speilzeug, and the running of their own labelz Potential Recordingz, Ergonomix, ReRub , 50hz, Ground, Foundation and Target. Jamie also released a Bandulu album Redemption with Music Man. 2002 saw the welcome return of The Space Djz on Blly Nasty's Tortured imprint with the Faces of Pain double pack, their first release together in almost two years, and a double mix Cd was released on Primal Rythms entitled The Last Djz on Earth.They were back and they were better then ever.

During this time, and indeed long before, The Space Djz have been renowned the world over for their breathtaking skillz behind the deckz. Whether working as a team or individually, Ben and Jamie consistently deliver astounding performances .. Dj' ing to them is an art, and with over ten yearz on the world Dj circuit they have the knowledge and experience to rock any party right ...

This Podcast had been planned for ages, but Sade Rush only founded it in October 2011, in iTunes. It followed by extensive organizing work. First it came out with own mixes, since it have been coming out 2-times in a month with own and famous dj's mixes too from all over the world, containing fresh techno music, like the Australian DJ HI-Shock, the English Tom Laws, the American Dylan Drazen, and the Hungarian GabeeN and Monocraft's mixes. The aim of this Podcast is to show something new and fresh 2-times in a month, sometimes returning to the roots, reminding us this way for the beauty of Techno music. The Podcast was very successful, and it became accessible on www.technoradio.hu (unfortunately this radio ends) too, near iTunes. In February 2012 The Podcast moved to the Hungarian Techno lover’s site www.techno.hu, next to famous radio shows like Umek's Behind the Iron Curtain, Marco Bailey's Electronic Force, Alex Bau's Wasabi Tunes, Tom Hades' Rhythm Convertered, Dr. Hoffmann's Blind Spot, Chris Liebing's CLR and Mike Humphries' Mastertraxx. At the same month, the past shows became available on Mixcloud too, spreading the love of techno, but the most important thing is the NVT Podcast can give us hope, that it can able to rouse the Hungarian Techno scene.
