Joran van Pol caught DJ Mag’s attention after amassing a discography with releases on labels including Richie Hawtin’s Minus and Dubfire’s Sci+Tec, as well as Rejected and Ideal Audio.

After Hawtin and Dubfire both adopted his ‘Faded’ track as a regular starting point for their sets early in his career, van Pol’s gone on to have a huge 2016. Spinning at Awakenings and Warehouse Elementenstraat in Amsterdam, he’s also dropped his ‘Awakening’ EP as the second release on his own FADE label, which has been tearing techno dancefloors apart this autumn. Not bad for a DJ/producer still in his mid-twenties.

For his Fresh Kicks mix van Pol has turned in an hour of no-nonsense techno, which includes two of his own productions, as well as material from Adam Beyer & Joseph Captiati, Anna, Cirez D, Keith Carnal, Julian Jeweil and Charlotte De Witte.

This week´s #AMFM 174 is the first part of my opening set at the @wet open air festival in Gärtringen near Stuttgart end of June. The venue is a beautiful public open air swimming pool and due to the fact that I had to travel to the south of England on the same day, I did the early opening shift. The doors opened at 10 in the morning and by the time I started playing at 11:30, the dance floor was just about to get a little busier, so I was able to play a bit more of “opening” techno. And if you have been following this show for a while, you know that I like to do this wherever I can. This time was no different. I loved every minute of it and would have gone on for longer if I wouldn´t have had to leave at some point. The dance floor was packed and happening already half way through my set and so I was able to take it up a notch in the second hour. Fantastic weather, amazing people, great venue and sound… what more can you wish for. Hope you enjoy that little journey.

This Podcast had been planned for ages, but Sade Rush only founded it in October 2011, in iTunes. It followed by extensive organizing work. First it came out with own mixes, since it have been coming out 2-times in a month with own and famous dj's mixes too from all over the world, containing fresh techno music, like the Australian DJ HI-Shock, the English Tom Laws, the American Dylan Drazen, and the Hungarian GabeeN and Monocraft's mixes. The aim of this Podcast is to show something new and fresh 2-times in a month, sometimes returning to the roots, reminding us this way for the beauty of Techno music. The Podcast was very successful, and it became accessible on www.technoradio.hu (unfortunately this radio ends) too, near iTunes. In February 2012 The Podcast moved to the Hungarian Techno lover’s site www.techno.hu, next to famous radio shows like Umek's Behind the Iron Curtain, Marco Bailey's Electronic Force, Alex Bau's Wasabi Tunes, Tom Hades' Rhythm Convertered, Dr. Hoffmann's Blind Spot, Chris Liebing's CLR and Mike Humphries' Mastertraxx. At the same month, the past shows became available on Mixcloud too, spreading the love of techno, but the most important thing is the NVT Podcast can give us hope, that it can able to rouse the Hungarian Techno scene.
