This is my reimagining of the incredible ambient track "A Starseed's Journey" by Oliver Koletzki. Combined with elements from a guided meditation session by the late Ram Dass. I felt really inspired by the original and wanted to build upon it in my own way, what resulted is a track I feel is one of my best.

Oliver Koletzki - A Starseed's Journey (Drop Frame Bootleg)

This is a live mix of my set from The Ivy in Sydney on the 14th May, 2022 for EightySix events. It's a pretty accurate recreation (mistakes and all!) of the set but using my somewhat-old DJ setup at home (2xCDJ 850's & a 2 channel mixer)- I didn't have the luxury of any effects on the mixer or a 3rd or 4th Deck. 2 decks is way harder than 4! This old favourites mixed with new tunes coming out on my Label, Midnight Zone & some new bootlegs which I will upload soon. I hope you enjoy.

Royalston/EightySix - Live Mix - May 2022

Folktronica trio TRIGAIDA, comprised of Asya Pincheva (vocals), Ivan Shopov (electronics), and multi-instrumentalist Georgi Marinov (Horhe) returns with “Rofinka” EP. This very special digital-only release offers several interpretations of the legendary folklore piece of the same name. 

The music was produced by Ivan Shopov and TRIGAIDA in collaboration with various guest musicians and composers including the vocal choir from NUFI Shiroka Lyka, conducted by Gancho Gavazov. 

TRIGAIDA breathe new life into this eternal piece of traditional Bulgarian music by juxtaposing their own blend of folk and electronic fusion to a plethora of genres and music styles. In the EP we find “Rofinka” translated into a high-octane drum’n’bass remix, a cinematic orchestral composition, a folk-influenced heavy metal hard-hitter, and a chilled-out ambient soundscape.

Plasma Audio mark their 20th release with a solo EP titled ‘Distant light' from label founder, Safire. The EP compiles of two dnb and three half time tracks exploring moments in time that venture through deep soundscapes, distorted baselines, hip hop inspired beats & technical production. The EP depicts various styles which the label has grown to be known for.

Conceptual & artistic is the theme while each track has meaning intertwined into its design - from dark to light experiences to political messages, the EP has a rich flavour and will have you feeling the music more than banging your head, with some exception as one or two of the tracks have a remarkable energy that is sure to hurt any dance floor. Artwork for the release has been hand drawn by Japanese designer Nene of QQQ, full release due out 13th of November 2017.

Formerly Primitive Tools, and (Atar-Axi-Om) Nihl (James Primitive) is a DJ and producer from North Carolina. Nihl (pronounced “Nile”) draws influence from the absurdity of the universe we live in and seeks to create personal meaning and fulfillment through a quest to constantly improve their command of sound, vibration, energy, the power of friendship, and bringing people together.
Founder of Burning Down the Triad, core member of the Diffuse Audio DJ/Engineer collective, and helping spearhead the Psychedelic music scene in the Triad area of NC, Nihl brings to the table a diverse range of psychedelic flavors, picked to elicit a vibe unique to the situation they are selected for. Nihl ranges over many styles of electronic music, but primarily sticks to heavy, rolling bass lines, industrial whines and growls, syncopated percussion and polyrhythm, and sassy, sarcastic vocal samples.
