Bart Skils returns to Drumcode with his third solo release, ‘Shadowprint’. Consisting of Bart’s famous rolling drums and bass rhythms he has crafted an EP that is exceptionally functional. With each track Bart has added character by introducing vocals, interesting melodies and deep percussion to keep it interesting. The EP is made up of 3 peak time tracks that are eloquently put together. ‘My Part Of Town’ is a bit deeper from Bart and contrast’s well to the rest of the EP with it’s melodic bass line.

Created with a wide variety of analog and modular synths from his collection, the 3 track-EP is the return to Leonard’s signature energetic electro-house sound, driven by gutsy basslines, witty bubbly melodies and catchy use of cut-up vocals.

On remix duty, Leonizer’s new addition, the Tokyo-based producer Sovnger, delivers a rough remix taking “Do You Get More” into dirtier darker techno territories, while Bon Temps Records co-founder Verlatour brings a touch of cinematic retro-pop to “Be Be Be”.

Neil Parkes - Drippidy Dip

Osiris, known as Lord of the Underworld and Judge of the Dead. Yet Osiris is also seen in part with resurrection and regeneration. Much is the same with this track, a duality of sorts in a similar state to Osiris.

I came upon this name and inspiration after reading through Graham Hancock's Magicians of the Gods. Ancient Egypt has always been fascinating and there is no shortage of inspirational ideas when it comes to one of the world's most mystical peoples.

Jeff Mills - Late Night (Mills Mix)

Ramon Tapia is back to the brassic floor. His killer 2 track EP last Spring, “Trolley / The Ride”, surfed many of the dance store charts and positioned it as one of our favorite Skint releases of late. 

Veering away from the familiar sounds of Ramon’s productions, ‘I Call It Bass’ develops a haunting melody coupled with a grunge like male voice. The eerie synth stabs penetrate through the hi-hats to give this number a late night moody feel.

Ramon also delivers the Dubba Dub, providing an alternative layer to the track as it journeys through the tech house vibe. Garage influenced hats pierce through the rolling kick turning this version into a peak time track for the underground. The breakdown comes in reminiscent of the original, putting you in a whirlwind of spooky euphoria.
