Welcome to the second chapter of the Adepta Atanor Collection, an 8" vinyl series from Adepta Editions for seekers of precious sounds. This series focuses on artists who work in the shadows, presenting them under new aliases exclusively for Adepta Editions.

For this occasion, the secret guest artist, performing under new alias Nazarenos [bassi], delights us with three pieces that challenge the ingrained conventions of contemporary electronic music, offering a deconstructed perspective on the notion of unity.

The mini-EP, titled No/Tempo, stands as the gravitational center of a "non-place": a space where everything exists in potential, the primordial origin of all unmanifested forms. In this exploration of the essential, the three tracks seem to explode in distinct and opposing directions, eluding any defined trajectory but sharing a common point of origin. It's as if something, long confined outside of time, suddenly manifests in a primordial burst.

Tune in to this unique 'Dadaist' machine, where styles and genres are not boundaries, but rather fundamental building blocks for a work of expansive vision.

The Adepta Atanor Collection continues with its second installment, following the RAN | BIRDS release. Once again, we explore the work of artists who typically operate outside the spotlight, presenting their creations under exclusive aliases for Adepta Editions.

For this release, the featured artist, performing as Nazareno [bassi], delivers three tracks that challenge the established norms of contemporary electronic music. The mini-EP, titled No/Tempo, offers a deconstructed view on the concept of unity.

No/Tempo serves as the focal point of a "non-place"—a realm where all potential resides, the fundamental origin of unmanifested forms. In this exploration of the essential, the three compositions diverge in distinct and opposing directions. They lack a defined trajectory yet share a singular point of genesis, akin to something long held outside of time suddenly manifesting in a primordial burst.

For this fourth installment in the AEX series, artist Jon Murphy, formerly known as 'Gravy Murphy' or 'Yanni' of 'Cissi & Yanni', presents his work under his own name, marking a new chapter in his musical career.

Modular Overture is a meticulously crafted work built with a Eurorack system, where Murphy creates immersive atmospheres, delving into the experimental realm of raw, analogue synthesis, unafraid to explore abrasive sonic territories. The Westlicht Performer sequencer, along with modules from Noise Engineering and Acidlabs, are key elements in this EP's sonic palette, which is characterized by its dynamism and depth. The release includes four original compositions that invite introspection and movement, exploring diverse emotions and sonic landscapes. In addition, the EP features three remixes by prominent artists in the electronic scene: Serge Geyzel, Cignol, and ΠΕΡΑ ΣΤΑ ΟΡΗ, who bring their own perspectives and styles to Murphy's work, further enriching the sonic experience.

This EP is the last in a series of four releases from Adepta Editions that have featured the collaboration of talented visual artist Vesna Vrdoljak. Her graphic work for Modular Overture complements the sonic proposal with an evocative and contemporary aesthetic, creating a cohesive and captivating audiovisual experience.

"This little mix is a documentation of a magical summer in my house. I've had friends stay over during an intense long heatwave, and these tracks have been sketched out while hanging out drinking aperol spritzes and chilled wine, and after my friends have gone to sleep. It's a combination of sketches, short jams, almost finished tracks and repurposed bits. 
For those wondering who I am, I am a guy operating, quite comfortably, from the shadowy underbelly of the european experimental techno scene since the early 2000s. I was talked into releasing an EP on 030303 Records in 2014. Since then I've put out more stuff on Analogical Force, Love Love Recs, U.T.T.E.R., Furthur Electronix. 

I’ve gotten reports that both Autechre and Aphex Twin have DJ:ed my tracks, which is perhaps my biggest (second hand) achievement so far, since they are known for quite different styles of music.

SELF OSCILLATE | AE–14

We are very excited to announce the latest offering in our AE series, an 8-inch lathe cut vinyl from Self Oscillate, the solo project of Ingo Zobel, who has been making electronic music for more than three decades and is probably best known for his work within the group Drøn. The new release, AE-14, moves beyond a simple collection of IDM tracks, offering an emotional dive into a universe of elegant glitches that creates a vast, deeply-felt sonic landscape.

For AE-14, Self Oscillate presents two IDM tracks that stand on their own, while creating a cohesive whole. On the A-side, "Yearning For Summer" takes a rather minimalist yet elaborate approach with just two main ingredients; a playful synth line and complex beats. The result is pure sonic optimism, a bright and buoyant piece filled with a kind of electronic glee that feels tailor-made for a sun-drenched day. The B-side, "Certain Premonition," is its perfect counterpart. It takes a similar route, but adds more structural elements and turns inward, exploring more intimate and pensive territories without losing any of its intricate beauty.

This collaboration highlights our shared passion for pioneering electronic music. We thank Ingo Zobel for his artistry, which eloquently captures a full spectrum of emotion within the IDM genre. The release is available as an exclusive 8" lathe cut vinyl, only through the Adepta Editions Bandcamp.
