This 15 track soundtrack by Atrium Carceri was composed for the Narrative Philosophical game "The Old City". Soothing string like atmospheres, distorted drones and brooding atmospheres carry the listeners throughout the album.

Last year while watching Dune Part II, I was mesmerized by the Giedi Prime segment.. I thought: "this is pure, 100%, darksynth, I should make a beat on it!"... so here it is! with some horror flavor added!

Belters

As any decent metalhead, the Priest have been a huge influence on my musical background. They were true pioneers, constantly evolving, albums like Ram It Down and Turbo had a unique style that anticipated many sounds emerged only decades later.

While listening to random tracks from their discography last year, "Heavy Metal" started playing, and right away I decided this would be my first cover.

Transforming the song into a metalwave/synthmetal track was easy, as the original version already had a very electronic sound. The chords feel like they were written for a synth rather than a guitar.

The real challenge was researching sounds and reshaping the song's structure, adding more modern elements to the vocals while still preserving the original attitude. I wanted a hybrid sound—something that felt very '80s but was also fresh and a little more aggressive...

so this my view of the song... and my tribute to the METAL GODS! (horns up)

Variant Electronic are absolutely delighted to welcome back the wonderful talent that is Clasps, with a Solo EP asides from one remix by label owner Luke Creed. After the immense success of his first two tracks with his initial venture alongside DNoize, we were more then happy to continue our working relationship, these productions are flawless and unique, just like his other tracks on VE, and outside of Variant his other releases have a sound that cannot be matched. 
This EP consists of 3 wonderful originals, all floor destroyers, the serious techno vibe is not all this EP should be noted for, the titles "All You Need Is Glove", "Like A Reverse Prayer" and "The Whipping Song" are all plays on popular pop culture songs titles, showing Clasps humour. The Luke Creed remix of The Whipping Song is what you come to expect from Mr. Creed tees days, heavy and noisy, a nice addition to an already superb EP.
