Metamorphic Variations for Wind Ensemble (mastered by eMastered.com)

This song is quite simple yet extraordinary for me. It's simple because it’s based on only two chords and a looped drum and bass rhythm. The chords set the deeply positive and calming feeling I had when I played at that moment. 
What makes it an extraordinary song is the melody and the structure. All the melodic material stems from an improvisation around midnight a few weeks ago. This melody alone shapes the whole emotional dramaturgy of the song, supported only by a few other sound layers that reappear at specific times. A short motive extracted from the melody acts as a hook. All this gives the song its structure, whereas the timing was crucial for it to be convincing, i.e. the length and the succession of the parts and therefore also of surprising and familiar elements. It’s all intertwined. This succession is a rhythm itself, getting it right is most satisfying.

Levi David has been crafting tunes and spinning the northern clubbing scene for over a decade. Formally known as Mr. Levi, the producer has crossed over many genres in his career, but has an innate passion with four to the four sounds. His music is widely influenced by his own raving experiences, designing tracks which are distinctly sharp and club-ready. 2020 sees him advancing his skills in the studio with a string of releases imminently on the horizon…

He presents a brand new four-track project which sees him entering melodic techno territory for the first time in his career. First Bloom steps into a realm of ethereal sounds, the project fusing together a blend of emotive samples and dramatic melodies. Stirring breakdowns progressively lead to thudding driving kick drums, purposefully made or darkened dance floors. 

Hailing from the north of England, Levi David has a distinct flair for crafting empyrean sounds. Over the first part of 2020, he constructed a collection of club-ready works, stepping into the realm of melodic techno for a series of mini releases. The first of those is First Bloom, a drivingly deep and emotive track made for darkened dancefloors.

Wow, hadn't realised what a journey SoundCloud would take me on.  After many years of passive listening to music I've dieted on a variety of tastes. My appetite for new sounds is undiminished and SC provides plenty of food. I am not a musician and have only recently started to listen positively to the sounds. My early years began listening to music from ABC, The Beatles, The Carpenters Dire Straits Eagles Fleetwood Mac Genesis Elton John Led Zeppelin Gilbert O'Sullivan Rod Stewart Supertramp Tangerine Dream Vangelis The Who and many more.
