Biography:
My name is Nikolas Dimoulas and I've been playing at various venues and open mic nights in the Bangor Maine area for the last ten years. In that time I have picked up two music degrees and a lot of experience. I have already experienced my first career success by launching my record label ZenDen- ME and had my first artists release summer 2016. ZenDen-ME had four artists release albums in 2016 with music videos following in 2017.
I started my recording career working at Main Street Music Studios. Nigel Hall sat in on my sessions. Nigel also plays with Soulive, Rustic Overtones, and Derek Trucks Band.
My references also include Andrew Clifford who owns Main Street Music Studios and is "a great drummer in Maine," plus my original producer. Brad T O'Brien is a talented guy who laid down a smooth bass line on most of the tracks for my first album "Apology."
Musicians such as B.B. King, D'Angelo, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, and Jimi Hendrix have influenced me greatly. I enjoy the blues and work very hard at my music contributing wherever I can. I attended Columbia College in Chicago for some time having to live in the smallest of rooms and writing songs for my first album. After some time I moved back home to the Orono, Maine area to record "Apology" In 2009.
I've lived in Nashville busking for food and playing at open mic nights. Deciding that it wasn't right living on the streets, I came back to Maine again working a day job and got an Associates of Jazz Theory degree at the University of Maine at Augusta and a Bachelor's degree at the University of Maine. I have achieved dean's list, honors program, and became general manager of a label called “Trump Tight Muziq”. I am now President and CEO of ZenDen-ME records. In the past, you could hear my song "Chicago" on 100.3 WKIT, Steven King's Rock and Roll Station. I currently produce and record other local Bangor artists: Zach Robinson and Sue Zee Nix. August 26, 2016, ZenDen-ME had its inaugural record launch.
