Nikolay Cranner introducing new release: Lies

November 2019 - Nikolay Cranner is an artist and producer with a passion for Vocal House, Jazz House, and more. His style is dynamically rich and vibrant, as well as accomplished and highly sophisticated in terms of production.

His most recent production is a stunning track titled “Lies" released on Club Restricted Deep. This release sets the bar higher in terms of punch and attitude, making for a unique flow in terms of rhythm, and melody. The saxophone leads are organic and present, cutting through the mix and giving it a jazzy vibe. The drums have a distinctive tone, with a slightly European flavor in the production. There is also room for some tasteful vocal parts, adding more edge to the song. The chord structure rings classy and sophisticated, adding an organic vibe to the mix.

Ultimately, this song is vocal house at its best, and Nikolay stands out as a master of the genre, time and time again.

We are very proud to welcome to our talent roster of international DJ's and producers Oyibo (Tim Cornelissen) on our label. 
Born in Amsterdam, Oyibo (Tim Cornelissen) started producing electronic music in the late nineties. At that time he released trance tracks under the aliases Cygnific and Aerodrome at labels like Spinnin' Records in the Netherlands. His tracks were frequently played by DJ's like Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. Tim has been producing music ever since but his style moved away from trance and made its way up to progressive and deep house. 

A while ago Tim moved to Lagos, Nigeria. In the music loving country of Fela Kuti and Afrobeats it's hard not to get inspired. You will often find Oyibo jamming with fellow artists in one of Lagos many studios, blending all kinds of music styles together. This is unmistakably has its effect on his tracks.

He is kicking off his debut on our label with a beautiful, atmospheric and powerful track which crosses the Afro House, Progressive House and Melodic Techno genre. The track starts off with versatile percussion elements (marimba, congas, bongos, wood) and a powerful kick followed by a multilayered synthscape and progressive synth bassline. Increasing the tension and progression the track results in its first break playing with those ambient snyhs and percussive sound FX. 

After the drop the song continues it's powerful journey and results in an exhilarating climax giving you the feeling to just fly free as a bird.
