In anticipation of Neptunian Influence's 6th annual Detroit brunch during Movement, we're thrilled to present a mix by one of last year's celestial gathering lead navigators, Paul Fleetwood! The Perimeter Junk label boss and @hot-mass co-founder has prepared a deep, ethereal and raw soundscape for the heart of the storm, which is where he took us on that glorious day nearly one year ago. The mix features selections from his excellent PJ label and even a few tracks from this year's party navigators, @shawn-rudiman and @fdbeardd. This mix has been carefully crafted over the last six months. For our first collaboration, we wanted to capture the echoing beauty and brutality of the human condition, where grief carves deep fractures and love fills them with molten gold. We built a symphony of chaos and serenity. It is a collision of equanimity and maelstrom, anguish and catharsis, symmetry and solace. The music shifts like an oscillation between cataclysm and halcyon moments, breaking down boundaries to reveal raw edges that transform into clarity. It is as destructive as it is delicate. Each track becomes a sanctuary, holding fragments of grief and love, conflict and peace. This is our story, distilled into its authentic form.

Ecuadorian producer Nicola Cruz released his debut album ‘Prender el Alma’. Like we do here at ZZK, with each release we put out a corresponding free mixtape. ‘Prender el Alma’ is a new strain of Latin American music Cruz calls ‘Andes Step’. Influenced by new digital technology, exploring local indigenous and Afro-cosmologies in a modern setting, we’re proud to present our 22nd mixtape, a piece of ridiculous hot fire from Nicola Cruz.
