This mix was created when Damian and Martin joined forces in a rare musically alternative back to back session when they met up in Tulum  after having played The Day of Dead in different cities around Mexico. 

We hope you enjoy the first 90 minutes of this session as we count down the days until these two forces of nature collide again for DAY ZERO at the magical pyramid site Chanolandia outside Playa Del Carmen on the 11th of January 2014

One to watch Ibellini makes an imprint with his brilliant debut ‘Wide Soul EP’ on Crosstown Rebels off-shoot RebelLion. Title track ‘Wide Soul’ is intensely mystifying with a deep bass, warbling synths and warmth flowing through the atmospherics. Following suit ‘I Dream Of Funk’ unfolds on a more uplifting tip with powerful melodies, solid groove and layered synths. On the B-side Desolat favourite Guti remixes ‘Wide Soul’ taking it deeper and more rolling for the early hours of the morning. Rounding off the EP ‘Milk & Honey’ is exactly the type of track you’d love to hear at BPM festival or Burning Man, luscious and hypnotic with plenty of grit and groove.

Bassam Ibellini  started mixing records from a very young age, playing parties by the time he reached the age of 14. Living in London in 2006 he managed to secure a residency at Cuckoo Club which still stands to this day. Ibellini’s musical direction at Cuckoo helped influence booking some of the biggest names in electronic music.. Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, as well as playing back to back sets with Seth Troxler and Guy Gerber.

Ibellini set out to put his stamp on the scene, creating the 'Peculiar' parties, which are held at warehouses across the east and west of London, cultivating a loyal following and booking the biggest names in the business. This year Ibellini has played at the likes of BPM festival in Mexico and at WMC where he played a memorable set at Get Lost.

Argentinian Guti is extremely accomplished as a producer and live artist. His releases can be found on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, Desolat and Supplement Facts.

We are glad to have won Iorie over for our 6th release, a young and talented man from Hannover. “And The Gang EP“ is his contribution to this event. But don't let yourself be deceived by this title: his music is certainly not drifting into rap-related genres. Instead, the young man presents us three varied originals which wonderfully fit a modern deep house context. And to top the total package off we have the mighty Siopis on remix duty! 

“And The Gang“ is not just the title of the EP, but also track A1 – and even if it starts quite calm and straight, you soon realise that this track is ideal for the dancefloor with its perfect groove. Up next is “A Little Affair“, a track with which Iorie underlines the multifacetedness of his productions. It is borne by a dreamy and slightly dark atmo and builds a special kind of tension which is released in the break with a wonderful vocal to begin. The flip side revolves around “My Mate M“: Although Iorie doesn't want to reveal to us who this is alluding to, we are sure that it must be a really good friend considering what a great song he dedicated to him. But don't worry: if you're thinking of a cheesy love song, you're barking up the wrong tree. This track very much relates to what Iorie has presented us on the A-side and the facets that he displayed there are fused into one epic masterpiece. All in all a tough basis for Siopis to remix you might think, but the berlin-based Greek proves to be one of the best producers of the German capital and does a heck of a job putting his “From The Ashes“ mark on the theme.

Three months on from his truly historic 5-hour marathon set at the open-air Tres Aguas venue in Cordoba, Argentina at the start of 2012, UK legend John Digweed looks back and then forward as he prepares to share the magic and indulge those not fortunate enough to attend that unforgettable January night. 

So unbelievably special was the occasion both for John and the thousands of party-goers who bore witness that on 30th April, the Bedrock head-honcho will release his brand new triple CD package Live in Cordoba, giving Digweed fans across the world the chance to experience and reminisce upon what was, in his own words, one of the best party atmospheres [hes] ever experienced.

Complete with two Live Mix CDs (1&2) and a third bonus disc featuring exclusive un-released and most importantly unmixed cuts from Digweeds bag, the Live in Cordoba triple long player captures so exquisitely the innate capacity John has for manipulating and executing sounds and continuously wowing a crowd for hours on end with impeccable record selection. 

CD 1 showcases John`s ability to set the mood with grooving house and forward thinking techno tracks with remixes from the likes of Agoria, Martin Buttrich, Robert Babicz, Dominik Eulberg, Stephan Bodzin and Subb_an. 

CD 2 sees John shift gears with chunky beats and driving techno from Maetrik, Alljacks, Oliver Lieb, Boys Noize & Erol Alkan, Nick Curly and Guy J, among others. 

CD 3 Sees John with his A&R hat on, compiling 10 fantastic, new and unmixed tracks from Sian, Pig&Dan, Dosem and an exclusive remix of Slam`s classic Eterna remixed by John Digweed and Nick Muir. 

"I could see from the reaction to my very first record that this crowd was there to party and were totally united under the stars, creating one of the best party atmospheres I have experienced in a long while. I played for over 5 hours and really didn't want to stop, as I was having so much fun.
