This piece plays beneath the unspoken parts of “While They Were Sleeping.” It’s the sound of childhood folding in on itself. The toys are still in the room. The drawings are still on the wall. But the boy is no longer a boy.

“Childhood Lost” is for the moment you realize no one is coming to save you. That you’ve already grown up in the quiet. That the magic didn’t leave all at once it just faded in corners no one ever dusted.

The melody is soft. But it hurts. Like a music box that still plays, even after the child is gone.
