Revisiting my Trance vinyl collection for the first time since 1994. My trance digging period was a short period around 1992-1994 and the concept of the genre "Trance" was a bit unclear at the time. For us ravers it was just "extra hypnotic techno" by whatever means possible, and the methods to get to that mindstate were many. Germans used repeating melodies, spain had their version with ravey nonsense talk, italy sounded like italo disco on speed, the brits used lots of 303, and so on. Also when being a record collector and underground DJ, given some time it becomes obvious what records has passed the journey of time well. I have to say that some records surprised me. This is a mix where Ive tried to put them together as I would in 1994 which seemed easy at first but it took me weeks to find back to the mixing style I was doing back then. I had to listen to some old mixtapes and in the end try to imitate what was going on, but then one day while not really trying I found it, and caught it on recording. Do you remember yourself in 1994? Enjoy this time machine. <3

deutschland canceln | shutdown soundtracks was the very last event at ://about blank in 2020 - and erik jäähalli gave us this powerful live set as the most beautiful parting gift for a long winter which is still ahead of us all. 

with his live set, erik prepared us musically for the demolition of the garden dancefloor which took place that night - a touching and powerful moment for everyone around that night, reflecting on the fragility and transience of club culture in these times, where everything only appears as a faint reminiscence of what we used to know - but will hopefully become as powerful again as the music played that night.
