Nothing Is More Important Than Anything Else

My current project, "Including Love - Music That Celebrates Sacred Union" is a compilation of uplifting and deeply grooving dance music - with each song inspired by and dedicated to a specific epic couple in our community.  These men and women are pushing the envelope of what it means to embody the divine masculine and devine feminine, and each couple has their story of how they came to alchemize true love.  I believe the primary love relationship is the current cutting edge of culture and human potential, and that viewing true love as the prime transformative experience is the window to a future we all can believe in.  The only way to become your highest unique self is to surrender fully to the most spectacular vision of you that exists on the planet - the future version of you that only your beloved can see.  When you stop resisting the greatness that only they can hold for you - you can become something far surpassing your own limited sense of self interest.

A special thank you to Android Jones (www.androidjones.com) for capturing the love between me and my wife Jennifer in his piece "Union" which I use as the image / icon here and for the album cover art.  Jennifer - as you would expect - is the inspiration for this project and our relationship is captured musically in "Warrior Catches Thief".   Listening to "Warrior Catches Thief" and looking and Android's "Union" together is a spiritual experience for anyone who believes in true love...

The fluid movements in a sea of fusion is the heart of Subaqueous music.  By blending future past and eclectic rhythms Subaqueous moves the listeners through a sonic epic.  

The Debut album, Waterscapes, is a playful splash that stayed on the top Midtempo charts. It was #1 on Bandcamp.com for 3 months straight. Subaqueous Second album which released in 2012, Immerge, which moved audiences into the divine. It quickly gained traction and made his work international. Subaqueous' love of music extends beyond just music, his commitment is to music that raises consciousness; for this reason in the Fall 2012 he worked with the nonprofit Critical Beats to fundraiser money to save the Amazon. Together they created the EP, “Threshold of Night.”  Critical Beats is a not for profit that uses any resources from music sales to help with important projects with the Amazon. In this way the music not only help a message of self discovery and contemplation, but also a deeply physical message of helping stop the destruction of the amazon.

In the summer of 2013 Subaqueous last album was a culmination of all his connections and years of dedication. The Album, ReVision, featured remixes by fellow musicians with the same deep love of ecstatic dance and lush music. It featured artist such as Govinda, eO, Erothyme, futexture, and others.

Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.
