silence me (feat. Daniel Raijman)

on december 31, 2023, i shared my first demo, a song called “next year.” exactly one year later, this song turned out to predict the changes in my life that 2024 brought.

this song was written during my process of grieving death in my life, and about the idea that someone who lived in one year is truly gone at the start of the next numerical year. i was scared for 2024, because it felt like the world was ending and i had very little direction.

half of these lyrics came to me without me knowing what they meant. i didn’t know why i was writing about leaving, but i felt compelled to. it turned out that in 2024, i did leave.
