Truly no favorites, lots of people doing great things atm! But will shout out to CNC, had a lot of fun playing with them over the years.

Listen. Dig deep. Trends don’t last, so define yourself by what you love, and share that with people. 

What would you like to see in the future for the dance community?

More support to diy spaces, independent bookings, intention, care, respect, love.

Nina Mix 007 comes courtesy of the one and only @hjacksonnn. Through his own production and mixes, the New York underground dance music mainstay never fails to keep listeners guessing with his trippy, left-field stylings. Through his Anno imprint, Jackson has brought forth some of the most refreshing club-oriented music in recent years with releases from @jamesk_1, @huerco_s, @jiovanni-nadal,  @kwatakwata, @significant0ther, @christoph-de-babalon and @eelburn.

Jackson’s Nina Mix brings forth harder, faster fare than his usual mixes while staying true to the more psychedelic tendencies that have become his signature. Weaving through tracks from @lukasoppenheimer, @laenzzz and @axine-m, Jackson stays true to his spirit of championing younger contemporaries.

Jackson told Nina: “To quote one of my favorite Discogs comments: ”I’ve heard this somewhere, but the strange thing was that it wasn’t in this lifetime.”

Q. What’s your relationship to the NY music scene?
A. Formerly a Chicago resident for the past decade, I would travel to NYC once or twice a year to attend / play shows. I finally moved here a few weeks ago and am excited to be a regular part of the scene and community (& contribute to the iconic Juanita’s mix series!)
