Our July 2025 ‘Monthly Techno Mixshow’ features a two-hour mix from Brandon De Carlo.  

From his live performances at some of NYC’s most legendary events through the 90’s, to his countless DJ gigs under the southwest stars through the 2000’s and beyond, Brandon’s journey spans decades of dedication to techno. A multi-instrument musician and grandson of Puerto Rican singing legend Tito Rodriguez (who lead the first wave of NYC nightlife in the 40’s-50’s), his rhythmic roots run generations deep and his dedication to his craft is not driven by fame, nor fortune, but by legacy. His classic releases on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS records, 611 Rec, Hijacked Records and his own Downside Up Recordings have gained him global attention and rotation from the who’s who of techno DJ’s, while his approach to delivering blistering dj sets continues to push the envelope of rhythmic reality, cleansing souls of those who bear witness.

Set the Mood with Observer!

For the 64th edition of the Set the Mood series, the featured guest is OBSERVER, an Amsterdam-based producer and multifaceted DJ with more than six years of experience across various genres. Well-acquainted with the music industry, OBSERVER represents the outcome of years of dedication and serves as a direct expression of his passion.

For him, a perfect opening set is one that creates a space filled with melody and drive, setting the tone for what is to come. With this vision in mind, he has crafted a set that unfolds gradually, blending textured sounds with deep, rich melodies.
