His keen ear is obvious, as he picks lush Reggae and Dub samples to compliment his crucial productions.  

The Lose Your Soul EP takes the liberty of further showing off what incredible magic this talented producer can generate. Shuko is a multi-artist based in Germany known for his collaborations with Kanye West, Timbaland, B-Real of cypress hill just to name a few. He describes himself as a sucker for those 90s samplers and vintage synths. He has a new old-school EP ‘Queensbridge Sunrise’ coming up, whose track ‘Who’s World Is This’ features his fellow beatmaker, the Morrocan artist Saib. Thanks to its groovy instrumentals and an enveloping old-school vibe, the track will take you on a sunny cruise.

Den Dala’s new single “Carefree” is a real feel good groover song. It takes you to a place where you always have your sharpest glasses on and every movement is in unison with the beat. How could it be else, Carefree has everything a positive mind needs: a simple and catchy bassline, followed by melodic guitars, and topped off with a stunning synthesizer solo. Playing Ping Pong, jamming, drinking, and let your soul dangle is what inspired Den Dala to write this song. It developed in a time when there wasn’t much more to do anyways. This feeling of lightness and not caring too much about things is the essence of this mellow instrumental track.

You may know him as one half of the duo Wieland & Ulrich, the German producer from Cologne wielandwieland has been making music since 2006. His beat-making is thoughtful and combines different influences as shown in the track ‘For A Minute’, a mix of soothing chords with an r&b vibe. The track highlights a soul vocal sample. Its low pitch and the enveloping reverb make for a track-inducing relaxation.

Today we are announcing the first compilation that we are putting together with artists we’re close to or a part of the movement.  For 10 years our focus has always been to provide the best and a solid ground for artists to put out their music – we are now trying a new approach and putting our name on a release to showcase our favorite producers in a collection of tracks carefully picked by the staff.

The vibe in the release is a flight mode collection of tracks before a night out or just cruising in the car on a sunny day or evening. A moment you could have before all this technology came to life was going to your friends house not knowing what to expect and i think this could describe the project pretty well. 

The focus has always been beats that vary in around 70 to 90 bpm but here we are seeing a boost in the tempo and i truly hope all of the listeners will appreciate the tracks we’ve added, the producers were introduced to the idea i mentioned above and i let them fully experiment with a style and not limit them in terms of creation.

For each of these projects in the future our aim will also be to showcase photographers, illustrators or painters to bring out and show light on people we appreciate in this scene. For this project i wanted someone i know that spends his weekends around the streets of Los Angeles taking shots of some of the most beautiful cars & crews around the area.
