Before we dive into the latest episode, let’s first take a brief look at Lofi Radio and what it offers to its listeners. The show is a music podcast that features a variety of producers, musicians, and artists from around the world. The aim is to showcase the producer in a overview of both new tracks, older tracks and also some work in progress – the vibe is chill and laid-back, with a focus on hip-hop, jazz, and a positive vibe in the community.

The seventh episode of Lofi Radio is here - with a producer that’s been alongside the Ninetofive for a very long time – A producer with masterful MPC skills in this episode. We are featuring Stockholm-based producer & great friend of mine Max i Million. Max is a self-taught producer who has been making music & building his own following and community for a long time. For me, and to a lot of other people he is well known for his mastery of the MPC 2000XL, and creating warm, soulful sound with incredible bounce. I am very honored to be presenting him on the show and I hope you all will enjoy this beautiful mix he’s put together for us all.

I created this piece in my room where I create most of my art and I wanted it to feel like an oasis of colors. Making music with drums and percussion being the driving force has been something I not only like listening to but I utilize to give the listener the brush to paint their own picture. I encourage the listener to be held by rhythmic and harmonic journeys. Making this track has also taught me to enjoy the moment and to be present as opposed to dwelling in the past or submerged in the future.

DEPARTED WELCOMING

"Damaged Goods" is a collection of 20 beats made by Low Key. This beat tape was made, mixed, and mastered with-in 2 months and took hundreds hours perfecting.

During the making "Damage Goods", there were times where the motivation just wasn't present and I basically had to force myself to create. This led to me mentally & physically feeling drained mid way through the tapes making which tempted me to name the project "Damaged Goods".

While some beats have similar flows each beat is different in it own way. Some tracks were bounced between my SP-404sx, KX-200U cassette deck, and Ableton Live 12. This is something you'll be able to hear through out the project as some beats sound crisp & clean, while others sound like they came straight out the cassette tape!
