New Year’s Eve is here and in honour of the occasion, we’re forgoing our characteristically downtempo Sunday Mix for a special weekend instalment of our flagship series, with Max Cooper at the controls. Bookmark this one for whatever you have in store for this evening – or any other occasion, of course.

In his own words, the innovation-driven producer and visual artist opts for a “psychedelic techno adventure” featuring tracks from JakoJako, Barker, Oliver Coates, Rival Consoles, ANNĒ and Venetian Snares. “Lots of melodies and beautiful feelings to get lost in," Cooper begins, "but also lots of unexpected turns and mind-mangling soundworlds, and plenty of genre-hopping so you never quite know what's around the next corner."

In early 2009, Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter launched @mistersaturdaynight. The party formed the roots of what would eventually become the beloved nightspot @nowadaysnyc, a “by us, for us” club that’s become a community hub for NYC’s nightlifers. Following the release of a sprawling box-set to mark the party’s 15th anniversary, Harkin, Carter and a few of the compilation’s featured artists filled us in on what makes Mister Saturday Night so special.

Solid Steel (11th August) In Hour 1 we welcome back Illum Sphere to Solid Steel following the release of his 'Glass Remixes' EPs. Tracks from the 'Glass' album that was released in 2016 have been remixed by Machine Woman, Gavsborg (Equiknoxx), Fotomachine, Hieroglyphic Being and our guest in Hour 2, Beau Wanzer. Both EP's are available now as a double vinyl release as well as a digital download on Ninja Tune. The Hoya:Hoya founder is just back from 2 sets at Dekmantel and in his mix today treats us to music from Chiemi Manabe, Charles Manier, Reall Juice, Tambi, Lukid and The Flying Lizards.
