For our first party in Milan, Suzanne Kraft will no doubt assume his role as one of LA's finest dancefloor forces – but there's a dreamier side to his output.  His forthcoming record, 'Talk From Home', is a gentle downturn into floaty Balearia – all soft melodies, melancholic tones and pillow-light percussion. It's a diversion due in no small part to Kraft's affiliation with London artist Jonny Nash and his label Melody as Truth (on which the record is being released) – an  ultra-distinctive imprint born out of improvised jams with Kraft, Young Marco, Gigi Masin, among others. 

Just in time for summer, Kraft has kindly thrown together a mix in homage to his latest creative meanderings – a toast to Melody as Truth, featuring exclusive cuts from his new EP and also from Jonny Nash himself. Peep the tracklist in full below.

"This mix is a semi-candid snapshot of what I listen to at home and where I was at when recording the MAT record. It's comprised of tracks I was listening to a lot during that month as well as a couple from Jonny (solo & w/ Gaussian Curve) and a couple of my own from the record itself. I hope this serves as a decent introduction to not just 'Talk From Home' but to Melody As Truth (or at least my idea of MAT) as well."

Solid Steel (21st April) In Hour 1 this week we're delighted to welcome Tyler Pope from LCD Soundsystem, who is also the boss of Interference Pattern label that released the Drug Apts EP produced by Zach Hill and Andy Morin of Death Grips last year and new single 'L.Y.G.' by Tyler and MAndre ft. Telepathe. He's also played in a number of influential bands like !!!, Outhud, Crystal Ark, Hercules & Love Affair and The Yah Mos. So while we wait for the new LCD Soundsystem album, enjoy his mix which features previous guest Coby Sey, Sisters of Mercy, Adrian Sherwood, Golden Teacher, Suicide, 23 Skidoo and Jack Frost. He told us;
"This is a mix of some new and some lesser known tracks, and a lot of classics, all of which I love and feel represent the aesthetic direction of my label Interference Pattern. It encompasses most of my favorite genres of music, experimental, dub, techno, punk, and acid, with some live instruments in the mix. They all are also tracks that are around 100 bpm, but not downtempo per se. Thats a feeling that I like, deep and slower, but still with a heavy groove that you could play on a dance floor."
