In Hour 2 it's Bing & Ruth, the collective led by pianist David Moore who has just released 'No Home Of The Mind' on 4AD. Studying at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York’s Greenwich Village, Moore was writing the sort of music he wanted to hear: minimalist ensemble music with a certain filmic sensitivity. In his mix we hear a track from the album alongside music from Julianna Barwick, Tsegue-Maryam Guebrou, Jean Bosco Mwenda, The Carriere Brothers and Williamette. He told us;
"I was thinking about trance and the lines from it that stretch out in surprising directions.  About the connective tissue between outward and inward sounds - social and antisocial music.  Country gospel, blues, old time, cajun, the sound washes of contemporary and angelic fogs.  Everything here emanates from the same source: where drone meets the human feel."

Solid Steel (31st March) We're delighted to welcome Little Dragon to Solid Steel this week. The Grammy-nominated band have announced their long-awaited new album ‘Season High’, which is out on April 14th on Because Music http://little-dragon.net They recently dropped the track 'Sweet' from the album and before that the track 'High', which saw the remix by Michael Uzowuru & Jeff Kleinman getting it's Premiere by Pharrell on his Beats 1 show. The band are set to embark on an extensive World tour in support of ‘Season High’, which includes Coachella, Parklife, Sonar, Bestival and a date at the Roundhouse in London in October. Music featured in the mix includes Big Sean, Jimi Hendrix, Johnnie Frierson, Martyn, the Kaytranada mix for Teedra Moses and Bryson Tiller. They had this to say "Its the typical march 2017 all over the place mix with a little tribute to the late Chuck Berry”
