DJ Moneyshot is up next holding class again. His latest mix, 'Heavenly Sunday Social at The Albany', is a tribute to the Chemical Brothers' legendary DJ residency at The Albany pub in London. Back in 1994 they were known as the Dust Brothers, and spun an emotional mix of rare Soul, classic Hip-Hop, Acid House and Psych Rock. Not to mention test pressings of their latest Dance/Indie crossover remixes, and fledgling original productions. Moneyshot has scoured discogs, sample-spotted, and dug-up magazines from back-in-the-day to get the inside scoop on the magic of this pre-Big Beat melting pot. This week DK's back after a short break and time to catch up on releases from the last few weeks. Recent guests The Simonsound kick off with their Jimmy Castor cover followed by Kei Kobayashi's version from a few years back and we continue with Janelle Monae, Diego And The Dissidents and a new remix from Naughty by Nature. A classic 12 from Ian Dury rides alongside a track from the excellent Caribou album and into Liquid Liquid's 'Cavern' before we pick it up with Trenchman and Nick Thayer.
