Solid Steel (9th May) Hour 1 this week is from Kowton, the Bristol based producer and Livity Sound label owner (alongside Peveralist and Asusu). The mix opens with German experimental musician Conrad Schnitzler and loaded with unreleased gems. As Kowton says "The mix is a snapshot of the kind of thing I've been playing recently: stripped back rhythms that work on the floor. New Pangaea, MMM, Tessela, Surgeon and bunch of other good stuff. Beyond that there's not much to say."
The latest release on Livity Sound features Pev / Kowton remixed by Ghost-202 and Beneath.

The festival season is fast approaching yet again, and one of the first (and biggest) events kicking off in the UK is We Are FSTVL. You'll be able to catch Yaya on the Used + Abused stage with Loco Dice, Adam Beyer, Art Department, Enzo Siragusa, Recondite (live) and Tale Of Us, one of many mondblowing stage line-ups at the festival. So Yaya drops us the first entry in our 2015 run of podcasts in association with We Are FSTVL and it's a killer as you might expect.

Some amazing sax stuff from Peter Gordon, incredible Vocals towards the ends from my friend Randy Jones aka Caro and Yonathan Levi showing small children how to play bass throughout...
