Thomas Roussel is a French composer and conductor based in Paris. Trained in classical music (violin, piano, composition) and passionate about electronic music, he is a pioneer of the techno-symphonic style, notably with Blue Potential created alongside Detroit legend Jeff Mills.

For over twenty years, he has collaborated with the worlds of fashion, cinema, and luxury, composing for fashion houses such as Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Valentino, Kenzo, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton, as well as for films and major events across the globe: the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Lincoln Center in New York, the Dubai Expo 2020, and even the Paris bid for the 2024 Olympics.

Renowned for reimagining the symphonic orchestra, he has worked with prestigious ensembles including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Under the alias Prequell, he released his debut album in 2017. Shortly after, Busy P invited him to orchestrate Ed Banger’s 15th anniversary, where he transformed classics by Justice, SebastiAn, and Laurent Garnier into a grand symphonic concert.

In 2022, he launched a new chapter with the release of Late Metal on Ed Banger Records. In June 2023, he served as conductor and musical director for Pharrell Williams’ debut Louis Vuitton show on the Pont Neuf in Paris. Later that year, he reunited with Ed Banger for No Artificial Light, featuring Jamilah Barry, released in November 2023.
