Full Circle - A story which inspired this music!

A year ago now, we celebrated important milestones and successes with our closest friends. With new beginnings awaiting, we were also faced with challenges in our lives, both as individuals and as a couple. In the face of adversity, we came together to create a musical symbol of our feelings of accomplishment and joy, but also adversity and hope. The memories from our “Manor of Love” set were so vivid, emotional, and vibrant, that we felt compelled to once again take the plunge into a musical experience together. 

One year later to the day, at the same location, again graced by a beautiful sunset and surrounded by our dearest friends, we came full circle. This time with a different mindset, celebrating a year of the challenges we overcame, with unbridled optimism and stronger love than ever. This mix symbolizes a full circle in our life, and a new sun’s revolution in our hearts.

Jhonatan Ghersi, is a Uruguayan DJ, born in Montevideo. From a young age he experienced a great passion for music, but since his teens he began to be curious to explore the electronic genre.

Start researching the different styles within the genre and choose progressive sounds.

In 2007 he decided to take the step by training professionally with producer Oscar Valdez, recognized in the local scene.

With the passage of time he decided to start creating his own music, forming his first self-taught knowledge, then with the Uruguayan DJ and producer Nicolas Silvano (Logiztik Sound) and a great complement of electronic music with the renowned musician Emil Montgomery.

His musical references are DJ producers such as Fernando Ferreyra, Lee Burridge, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Kevin Di Serna, Marc Marzenit, Henry Zais and others, and they always take their deep and melodic taste.

Although I did not have the possibility to exhibit outside of their country, I had the possibility of presenting myself in several clubs in the country, such as Ocean (Punta del Este), Diablito (Punta del Este), Soho (Punta del Este), Kalu After the Club ( Montevideo) in which he received a good call, among others, parties with colleagues, private events both in the capital and in the rest of the country.
He participates as a guest in several radio stations such as Mixone (Ar), Music Cloud (Ar), Oceano Fm (Uy), Midnight Fm (Mx) and currently has his own radio program called Surreal by TM Radio (USA) and Center Waves (ESP).

He began his first releases as a producer on the Mystic Carousel Records, Estribo Records and Electronic Tree, AH Digital, Bevel Rec (IT) labels and, taking a great leap, managed to enter one of the leading Argentine labels as Dreamers in charge of the renowned producer Fernando Ferreyra
He has obtained the support of DJ producers such as Dj Ogawa (Radio Smash-Frisky), Fernando Ferreyra (Dreamers - Radio Frisky), Dj Borra (Skyline - Radio de ADN), among others.

What do you do when pain blots out joy? How do you learn to take care of yourself? What happens when the things you think are helping end up doing the most harm? 'Auto-Pain' is the Sophomore album from Deeper, a record that finds the band embracing open space, using synths to create shadows where bricks of guitars once would’ve blocked out the sun. The group — singer and guitarist Nic Gohl, bassist Drew McBride, and drummer Shiraz Bhatti — were all graduates of Chicago’s rich DIY scene who came together around their love of Wire, Devo, Gang of Four, and Television. While the new record is still within the Great Lakes post-punk tradition of their debut, the album isn’t as insular as its predecessor; it’s less interested in pile-driving and more willing to dwell in liminal spaces. Guitars enter the picture precisely, locked bass grooves propel things forward. Drummer Shiraz Bhatti, who is half-Pakistani and half-Native American, embraced the drumming patterns he’d heard growing up at pow-wows, channeling the anxieties of his heritage into his playing and keeping the group grounded when they switch into all-out percussive attack. The result is an album both more nuanced and catchy.Auto-Pain represents the constant wave of depression felt by many in everyday life. Stemmed from Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’, Auto-Pain is a concept meant to be an inverse to soma, a pill in the book which makes everything numb. The idea of auto-pain is to epitomize the desire to return to a connection with thoughts and clarity, which comes at the expense of feeling everything simultaneously. The album artwork features the now-demolished Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago capturing the band’s rounded-off brutalism, and the album title appears in Urdu, a nod to drummer Shiraz Bhatti’s Pakistani heritage. The record was recorded and mixed by Chicago scene luminary Dave Vetraino (Lala Lala, Dehd) and mastered at Chicago Mastering by Greg Obis (Ne-Hi, Melkbelly).
