With almost ten years as a key player in the breaks scene, we welcome Australian  DJ and producer Diistortiion to iBreaks for our 71st release.

A moody intro leads us nicely into lead track “Hybrid Theory”, before punchy kicks and snares set the pace.  US MC BBK flows effortlessly over blistering synth work, leading towards an epic half-time stripped back breakdown.  This has energy written all over it, a must have for rocking a peak time crowd!  There’s also an instrumental included for good measure.

“Lost” takes us to a very different place, with a dark, almost ominous intro sequence.  A haunting female vocal provides the calm before the distorted guitars make an entrance, backed by a decidedly live sounding drum pattern.  Rolling fills, big bass and synthetic top lines create a perfect end of set vibe.

Feels grooooovy to be back! I went a little MIA which was nice, but I feel like I have so much music, and I don't wanna hold back anymore. In this industry, you spend time trying to perfect everything, the plan, the music, the release - but it's never perfect, and there's always obstacles. So I decided I'm just going to put EVERYTHING out. And when I mean everything, its a LOT of music. Every 2-3 weeks, something special, whether it's a free release or something bigger.

I've always appreciated all you rocking with me, sticking around for my journey, and I'm excited to show you the next path.

AK Sediki - FolkCore EP (bio)

AK Sediki, rapper/MC is back with some new material with an exciting concept, a 3-track EP called 'FolkCore'.
The EP is blending traditional Hungarian folk elements, (vocals, melodies and instruments) with today's electronic bass rich glitched up sounds and with heavy hip hop vibes.
The 3 tunes were produced by some of the greatest glitch hop electronic music producers such as CloZee, Mr. Ours and Groove Mind.
Them not being Hungarian made this material even more interesting as they discovered an unknown source of samples they weren't familiar with mixing it with their own creativity putting their individual spins on it, integrating them into today's modern sounds with great production techniques.
You can expect some groovy tunes with crunchy electronica and humming bass lines all laced with ill flows some crazy bars and mad rhymes by AK.
