This niggun is a tribute to friendship, to music born of collaboration.  Composed in Rosh Pina, in the north of Israel.  In honor of my friendship with Shahar Kaufman of Onyx Studios.

Two Heads Are Better - טובים השניים

Playing on a wide range of traditional and ethnic instruments, Nir Motzeri combines the rich multicultural reality of modern Israel with the ancient Jewish tradition of niggun.  A musical storyteller, Nir's compositions are fantastical worlds in which remote genres, rhythms and styles find themselves at home with one another and instruments converse like long lost friends.  The son of a Yemenite, born into an Israeli Sephardic family, with roots stretching from Spain, Italy and Morocco, fusion is Nir’s native musical language.  Traversing borders between East and West, the old world and the new, "To Make Her Happy" is a testament to the power of pure, wordless music to touch the heart and speak the langage of the soul.
