The label has now folded but I still have a few copies if anyone is interested.  Also features mixes by Spacetime Continuum, Higher Intelligence Agency, Silver Wizard, Bostich, Turing Test, Neutral and Chris & Cosey.

The first single, lostfound, from leland, the forthcoming debut LP by Francis Harris is available now on limited edition vinyl from NYC label Scissor and Thread. leland is a highly personal work for Harris who composed the album as a requiem for his father, for whom it is titled. This first peek at the project features the album version of lostfound, a contemplative, atmospheric pop song cast in a deep house framework. Norwegian singer Gry turns in an outstanding vocal performance that cuts straight to the emotional core of the material while subtle improvisational trumpet accents by Greg Paulus of No Regular Play propel the narrative.

Klaus Schulze - Brave new sequence (Bjorn Fogelberg remix)

Girma Beyene was one of the arrangers who made the Ethiopian music of the Golden Era different than the music of today. He was a lyricist, a music writer, an arranger, a vocalist, an accomplished pianist and finally a bandleader. To most, if any name comes to mind with the word arranger, it is probably that of Mulatu Astatke. Yet, according to Ethiopiques Series producer Francis Falceto*, in the heyday of vinyl records, Girma Beyene is credited to having arranged close to 65 titles, compared to Mulatu's 40. Girma left a handful of recordings as a vocalist, but it was as an arranger and pianist that he is fondly remembered today.

"Road to Zion" was the 2nd US single to be taken from Damian Marley's Welcome to Jamrock, while "The Master Has Come Back" was released in Europe.
It contains a sample from "Russian Lullaby" by Ella Fitzgerald.
The song also inspired Nas and Damian Marley to record an EP together, which later turned into the full-length album Distant Relatives released in 2010.

The video was filmed in Kew Gardens and it features cameos from Chali 2na of Jurassic 5 (on the street), George Clinton and Game being locked up with Nas, and Damian handing out postcards with the Lion of Judah on them. After Nas analyzes the card, he manages to escape the prison he’s in and reunite with the young Marley back in a project hallway.
