A Tale of Two Journeys (Mixtape)

A DJ set recorded for the "Mix Up" show on Australian national radio network Triple J. It was part of a series of mixes for Cut Copy's label Cutters Records also including mixes by Nile Delta and Kauf.

Recorded & Produced in 2002 at Subconscious Studios. Originally released in 2005 on the "Autonomous Addicts" compilation, Designed Disorder.

Hologram - "Earthsong" (2002)

An attempt at a three oscillator, paraphonic patch using the TTSH controlled by a Doepfer MCV24 polyphonic CV convertor. 

VCO2 was also used for some filter FM and its PW was modulated by the low-frequency noise generator.  TTSH spring reverb applied.

TTSH Paraphonic Test

Originally written and recorded in 1998, "solstice" first appeared in 2002 as the initial release on Joe Clausell's luminous Natural Resource label. With a limited vinyl pressing of only 1000 copies in print distributed exclusively in Japan, it has gained deep respect and praise over the years becoming one of the most highly sought after pieces in underground electronic music. This new re-release is re-mastered for a special "digital only" copy available on the legendary Schematic label, long time cohorts and collaborators to Hologram.

Recording of my set from last month's Moloko+.  Sequences are from Turning Machine, Klee, Simple Seq, Xii0, Using an O&C as a quantizer.  First part is Rings/Elements, Akamie's Castle, Sid Guts>SSM2144 VCF, Radio Music+Clouds, Second half brings in Braids, Orgone Accumulator>MA SVVCF, CEM3044 VCO>Stiener Parker VCF.

Drums Are controlled by a Corny Rhythm, Euclidian Circles, and 8-bit cipher.  I repatch the drums at various points, but the modules used are Dinky's Taiko, Basimilus Iteritas, Barton Analog drum, Bass++, Vat Clap, BaDum tiss, Braids and Dredrum.  Processed with Warps, Optodist, MT Reverb,
