We’re beyond excited to share the first glimpse of @nitefleit’s (and S.C.D.D.’s) debut album ‘Day Fleit / Nite Fleit’ which comes in the form of ‘Overload’ - an aural/visual dream from the mind of Fleitsy.

The forthcoming LP will have a Day Fleit and Nite Fleit side, depending on the listener’s intended destination; the discs can be listened to in either order.

The first single ‘Overload’ wastes little time in setting the tone for ‘Day Fleit’. Densely layered, soaring arpeggiated acid lines twist and dance around Nite Fleit’s spoken lyrics, inspired by Delia Derbyshire and Barry Bermange’s iconic 1964 ‘The Dreams’ sound collage.

For its fifth release Planet Euphorique puts forward Australian-born, London-based Nite Fleit's latest release, Overcast. Her second record, Overcast is a teeth-baring soundscape guided by commanding, rhythmic spells. The record’s acidic slaps and punishing bass lines are uncompromising, recalling her darkly transcendental DJ sets. Overcast’s masterful doom is punctuated with enigmatic sparks throughout–the light beckoning listeners into the darkness and onto the dance floor.

Australian-born, London-based Nite Fleit has found herself playing increasingly further afield with each passing each year. Real name Alysha Fleiter, she unleashed her first, complete solo effort, Steel City Dance Disks Volume 7, in late 2018, following that record up with Overcast on Tiffany D’s label - a four tracker comprising of masterful acidic slaps and punishing bass lines. A regular collaborator with long-time friend and fellow producer Mall Grab, the pair recently put out a collaborative record on his Looking For Trouble imprint, garnering support from the likes of Helena Hauff and Umwelt and propelling with club and festival dates across Asia and Europe. We caught up with Alysha to discuss the run up to her first solo record from last year, making the jump from Australia to London, her collaborations with Mall Grab and the feeling of Helena Hauff playing your music. Her Truancy Volume, blistering through for an hour and a half, is an electrifying insight into her uncompromising sound and genre-melding original productions. Featuring three forthcoming solo tracks from herself and a new one from her and Mall Grab, the mix channels electro and breaks with full ferocity into a thrill-seeking ride.

Both the mix and image represent a simpler, easier time; one that I have felt nostalgic for lately. I took that photograph (on yet another long-lost camera) at a park in Sydney around the time I started DJing. A couple of the tracks included are those that inspired me to start DJing - most notably Zsa Zsa Laboum's 'Something Scary' - fitting then and fitting now.
