Music transports me to my nostalgic OK place, the 90s. And that’s not to say that it was all rainbows and kittens back then, quite the opposite actually (Let’s just say I’m not rewatching Will and Grace for the storylines).
The culture I consumed then is calling me back and I’m using those formative references to process all of the wonderful and terrifying bullshit that comes with being an adult, whatever the hell is going on!
What is going on? Well, I picked up songwriting on my guitar at about thirteen and apart from a few addiction shaped speed humps along the way, I’ve barely stopped.
Heard of computers? Same (finally). Now I use these machines to express my inner renegade. With lots of help along the way from different producers and collaborators.

RACERAGE is a queer Black radical rapbrat – spitting bars and shattering white fragility with hard-hitting lyricism, smooth harmonies and wry wit. They collaborate primarily with other First Nations, POC, queer and trans producers, artists and performers, exploring themes of intersectional feminism, decolonisation, class, genocide, and life in the queer bubble.

Racerage infuses dark electronic hip hop with defiant punk energy and a unique colourful DIY aesthetic. Their collaborating producers span a diverse range of genres from trap, to old school hip hop, boom bap, cruisey reggae styles, noise pop and experimental beats. Drawing all these sounds together with their dynamic vocals to create frosty politi-cute protest rap, Racerage takes their audience on a journey across the emotional spectrum, intertwining the personal with the political.

nite fruit are a queer electronic pop duo from Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). They make music they want to dance to, described as glowing hot hyperpop with a sharp DIY edge. 

Kitty (they/them) and Prani (she/her) sparked the idea of making pop music together one night on a sweaty club dance floor. The pair taught themselves to write and produce, and nite fruit was born.
