From deep down beneath the silent sea surface comes the fifth Tiefenrausch release. The „Rotterdub Remix EP“ features four producers of the direct environment of the label. Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schäufler & Zovsky and Baumfreund laid their hands on Noetics „Rotterdub“ and opened the wide spectrum of deep underwater music. A wonderful piece of Dubtechno music.

Das fünfte Release von Tiefenrausch bestreiten gleich vier Produzenten aus dem direkten Umfeld des Labels: Frank Hellmond, Neurotron, Schaeufler & Zovsky und zu guter Letzt Baumfreund. Alle vier remixen den Track „Rotterdub“ der Band Noetics  und eröffnen so  das weite Spektrum der tiefen Musik der Unterwasserwelt.  Ein ganz besonderes Stück Dubtechno Musik.

Den Anfang macht Frank Hellmond von Dreiton.net. Schleppend und unwirklich zeichnet er seinen Sound und verleiht dem Song durch sein bedächtiges Arrangement die besondere Essenz.
Neurotron nimmt sich gar nicht erst vor den Meeresboden zu beobachten. Stattdessen sorgt er mit seinem druckvollen Sound Verwirbelung in der dunklen Technogrotte.
Schaeufler & Zovsky bleiben ihrer Linie treu. Gut so! Heraus kommt eine warmherzige, leidenschaftliche und treibende Unterwassermelodie.
Zum Abschluss erklimmen liebevolle Sounds wabernd und pulsierend die Wasseroberfläche während der Baumfreund im Seegras liegt und sich im Groove verliert.

Biosphere is the main recording name of Geir Jenssen (born 1962), a Norwegian musician who has released a notable catalogue of ambient music. He is well known for his early "ambient techno" aesthetic and later for his "arctic ambient" style, his use of music loops, and peculiar samples from sci-fi sources. His track "Novelty Waves" was used for the 1995 campaign of Levi's. His 1997 album Substrata was voted by www.hyperreal.org  as one of the all time classic ambient albums. But over the last few years his albums (such as Cirque, Shenzou, Autour de la lune, Dropsonde and N-plants) have embodied some touches of jazz, classical, drone and even some dub-techno.
