Drift Deeper have been quiet for a few months. Seems this year we can never catch up. We have been hard at work putting together our Slow Living Volume 2 compilation, which I am happy to say is nearly complete. We just had enough time to squeeze in one more release before the compilation. It is a 4 track EP from 4 artists, some names you may know but some you will not. At Drift Deeper we are always looking for new talented artists who we feel need a voice.

The EP title is a recent experience for me, the wordings stuck in my head so I thought it would make a good title for the EP. Ironic that they didn't disappear from my head. So thankyou to the person who told me these words, I hope they do not disappear for too long though.

My name is Igor. Music has been with me since early childhood. It all started with a vinyl record player. Later I played music at school parties. Later I became interested in the nature of sound creation. We mainly use hardware equipment. I listen to and create completely different music. I prefer atmospheric and emotional sound. They simply called it “The Laboratory.” There were no windows — only the hum of life-support systems and aquariums filled with lifeforms that defied classification. On evenings like this, Spacelunch would tune the setup, Cat would yank out unnecessary cables with his tail, and everything would freeze in anticipation of the signal. A deep, steady mix filled the space, seeping into reservoirs, consoles, and whispering sensors. Something flared, something trembled — as if the environment itself was trying to synchronize with the rhythm. Later, a new chapter would appear in the Professor’s log: “Sample 93.”
