This recording is from the final morning of The Labyrinth 2022, Monday October 10, at Hodaigi Campground, Gunma, Japan.

Hiyoshi opened at 9:00 a.m., and then John Elliott followed with a one-hour Imaginary Softwoods live set. Instead of presenting these as two different sets, we are sharing as a single recording to represent the morning as it actually transpired, and as it was intended.

This is for all of you who could not join us last year, and all of you who were still recovering from the night before and didn't make it to the floor in time to catch these beautiful, peaceful hours.

As always from Mindgames, this recording is high-fidelity, high-resolution sound. Please enjoy.

この音源は、昨年のLabyrinthの最終日、10月10日(月)の朝、群馬県の宝台樹キャンプ場で録音された。

午前9時にHiyoshiがオープニングを飾り、John ElliottがImaginary Softwoodsとして1時間のライブセットを披露したが、この2つのセットを別々に紹介するのではなく、ひとつのセットとして共有することで、意図した通りの素晴らしい朝の流れを感じてもらいたい。

昨年参加できなかった皆さん、参加したにも関わらず、前夜のダメージからの回復が間に合わずにこの美しく平和な時間を体験できなかったみなさんも是非。

また、通常通りではあるが、Mindgamesの音源はHi-Fi、ハイレゾ音源で提供している。

I made Chant de Paris the day before my first solo live show at the club showcase in Paris, hence the name for the track and EP.

Over the last 17 years, Sebastian Mullaert has had a long and distinguished career as one half of hardware experimentalist duo Minilogue, with releases on Cocoon, Wagon Repair and Crosstown Rebels. Now opting to focus more on solo endeavors, he hits the ground running with his sublime Ovum debut. Clocking in at a hefty 16 minutes in length, the title track is a heady excursion which flirts with reverb-drenched ouds and meandering keyboard scales, conveying an air of Arabic mystique. An array of acidic synths move in and out of focus, whilst skittering hi-hats and ride cymbals slowly build upon rafts of kinetic energy, all programmed with a deft, organic touch.In an impressive display of versatility, Mullaert promptly flips the vibe from Berlin basement to Ibiza sunset with Recapturing the Radical Self. It starts off similarly enough, with brooding 303 squelches and sharp claps, but slowly ascends into a state of full-on Balearic bliss. Wa Wu We is the artist alias and label from Sebastian Mullaert. This is the third chapter, crafted in the Swedish woods. The fi rst 6 episodes of the Wa Wu We label will form a collection of records, united by their significant and unique cover art and the way they’ve been recorded; this being the focus on improvising expression, resting in meditation and the nature surrounding Sebastian’s studio. All 6 of these episodes will be limited to 500 copies each.

The beautiful four colour sleeve is designed by art director Markus Clemmedson and include Sebastian’s poetry.
