The intention of the album is combine a cross section of musical art and meditative practice. Music, Sound and Frequency have a direct impact on our nervous system and can also be great teachers to bring us back home to a calm and centered place in the nervous system. 

The rhythmic based tracks, can also be used as breath practices. For example, the listener, could inhale for a count of 4 and exhale for a count of 6. This type of practice can help begin to move our nervous system to a place of relaxation and calm. By slowing the breaths per minute, and extending the exhale the practitioner is also sending a signal to the nervous system to begin to relax and release. If you aren't able to find the beat by the rhythm, simply watch the "second" hand for the count. (1 beat per second) Of course you can also simply enjoy the sounds! 

Instruments on the album include Guitars, Charango, Native American and Bamboo Flutes, as well as Crystal and Himalayan Singing Bowls. Jeannine Scarpino is the guest vocalist on the opening track (a yoga teacher), who I was grateful to have met after a chance meeting and opportunity to accompany her yoga class. Gratitude is a powerful energy that we can channel into our hearts and that will raise our vibration instantly. Being grateful for something is a state of acknowledging what we already have in this present moment and therefore we vibrate a state of “having” in contrast to the state of “lack”. So not only does it feel good to be grateful, this state will also attract into our lives more things and events to be grateful for by the means of resonance.

“For me the feeling of gratitude reflects a state where everything I need is already here and I can relax
because there is nothing that needs to be done in order to get something else. I can rest and let go of the worries. For this Sound Journey I  chose sounds and frequencies that reflect this state of floating and being weightless.

This ambient meditation comes out of and is dedicated to the work of toning home, a practice taught by Elijah Ray to connect with, radiate and embody your True Self. I wanted something to tone to in 432 so I made this track. 

It is in the key of E (A=432 Hz)and uses the Maria Reynolds 432 scale which is an adapted pythagorean/just intonation scale. True (microtuned) 432 is thought to be more resonant and aligned with the natural cosmic and harmonic structure of reality. But don't believe me, try it for yourself! Sing it! Feel it.

The invitation, if you are open to it, is to tone from your heart with the intention to locate yourself, vibrationally and consciously. To feel yourself and to occupy your space and self so fully so that nothing else does. You can om, you can sing, you can explore vocally and feel yourself open. Becoming more free in your voice, more relaxed in your being and vital in your vibration.
