¿Qué es un mantra? Manana’t ta’rayet yastu sah mantrah parikiirttitah — El mantra es aquel que al repetirse nuevamente y nuevamente muestra el camino a trana, liberación. Uno debe recordar que trana es un término común. Pero en la esfera espiritual, la palabra trana se usa en el sentido de paritrana (liberación permanente). La palabra trana se deriva de la raíz del verbo “trae” en sánscrito más “anat”, y significa salvar del peligro, alivio del cautiverio. Imagínate que alguien te ata de pies y manos, y de alguna forma tus ataduras se deshacen. Significa que has logrado la liberación: pero en cualquier momento puedes volver a caer en cautiverio. Hoy no hay cautiverio, pero mañana puede volver a ocurrir. En trana no hay un escape permanente. Pero paritrana significa que una vez que se quitan las ataduras nunca volverán en el futuro. En el reino espiritual, trana siempre significa paritrana. De aquí que aquello o aquella palabra consagrada que al repetirse internamente de nuevo y de nuevo, traerá la liberación permanente, se denomina mantra.

Veamos como se debe usar un mantra. La expresión vibratoria y la emanación vibratoria de la entidad psíco-espiritual que forma la parte más sutil de la existencia humana es guiada por el mantra. Durante el Sádhaná ( Meditaciòn ) la mente avanza más y más de acuerdo con la vibración. Este es el trabajo del mantra. Esta es la excelencia de un mantra. Los seres humanos tienen que tener fe y convicción de que el mantra adelantará su existencia y su evolución espiritual ☼
